We went on Friday night. There were for adults and a toddler. We all got something different and everything was great. The attention paid to our little one was above and beyond! The price was reasonable. We will go again next time we visit.

This is a great BBQ
restaurant. They have a BBQ buffet that features a price for "one trip" price and also an "all you can eat" price. They also have sandwiches. Their hot rolls are delicious and the owner even bakes cookies and gives a complimentary one to the diners. Friendly, homey, atmosphere.

I had the chicken fried chicken, black eyed peas, and a huge loaded baked potato. My husband ordered the patty melt with onions mushrooms, jalapeños and homemade chips. Both were very good and good sized portions. Very nice waitress good service. We definitely will return.

A flashy new word to describe great Mexican food with American flavor. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. The three beef Enchiladas and Taco, with tea I had were hot and served to perfection, for only $10. It's definitely for folks looking for good food with local flavor. It right off HWY 75 exit 51. The bathroom was clean as well was the restaurant. The lunch crowd for a Tuesday was busy. I would recommend this venue over many big chains. It a humble place but well done.

Love the old-school vibe of this place! Meant to be reminiscent of 50's diners/drive-ins, the Malt Shop is fantastic. While we were there for dessert, they do offer dinner items as well. I was pleasantly surprised be the size and variety of their menu.
Highly recommend the fried Oreos just for the novelty of it! Plus, they were delicious

Really enjoyed my visit here. The food was yummy but it was the exceptional service that blew me away! Very attentive and polite waiter. He made great recommendations and was very helpful.

We were going to eat at a different Mexican restaurant in Van Alstyne, only to discover they had closed early for the night, so I checked on TA for another Mexican place nearby, and La Cima came up. I had been wanting to try this place for quite a while but always forgot about it because it's sort of hidden away in the country. It feels like your driving to nowhere, but it's actually a pretty quick and easy trip to get there. We got there at 8 pm on a Tuesday night, and surprisingly, the place was packed. We took that as a good sign. It was fajita night, with fajitas at $10, and everyone in our party of 5 got the fajitas. We also had beer and margaritas. Chips and salsa were complimentary, And the chips were warm and the salsa fresh and flavorful. They brought us a delicious black bean dip with the chips and salsa. The fajitas were wonderful, and our entire party cleaned their plates- no leftovers to take home! Very, very good fajitas. The waiter was attentive and personable, telling us at the end of the meal about some of their specialty dishes, to tempt us to return, but we needed no additional temptation. We were really impressed by the good food we had. This will most likely be our new favorite Mexican restaurant, and it's really close to home, which is great. I works most definitely recommend to anyone that they eat at La Cima.

Arroyo's Whistle Stop for authentic Mexican and American homemade meals. Arroyo's es un restaurante autentico que hace platillos estilo mexicano.
used a restaurant.com certificate, but will be back no matter what. fried pickles were a tad on the greasy side, but still good. fried chicken breast was tender and juicy. the kale and bacon side is great!!!!!
fried green tomatoes look like previously frozen, but still were good. son had the patty melt and loved the garlic aioli sauce!!

Pizza was a little too greasy for me. Too much cheese, it didn't let the crust cook all the way through.
But! The sauce was great. Here's my bias - I like a thin crust crispy pizza. No thick crust or hand tossed for me.
My kids loved it - me meh, not so much.

On Thursday, Nov 13, 2014, a group of docents from Chestnut Square Historical Village in McKinney, TX, were visiting Van Alstyne, and had made reservations here. The menu was somewhat limited, as they had already run out of baked potatoes, but the food was still delicious. Four of our group had the lunch sampler, the other three had the grilled tilapia. All of us had the spinach salad with mandarin oranges and poppy seed dressing. We were all very happy with our food. Our waitress wrote nothing down, but got all of our orders right, both when they were delivered and when we were paying our "checks" (we didn't have actual checks, we would have told the cashier, who was our waitress, what we had for lunch, but she remembered everything), her memory was quite impressive. Several of us had generous slices of pie for dessert. All flavors were delicious. I will be going back to the Durning House for a meal.
