A must. Great service, excellent food, especially if you like truffles, mushrooms, meat, and aren't on a diet! It's a little out of the way but truly worth the drive. I'd recommend asking for a table on the terrace (great views), weather permitting. We spent â¬100 for four, and we eat!

Service was prompt and friendly. The food, which included complimentary starters of classic tigelli and fried polenta with salame, was based on the excellent meats and breads of this region. A local draught red wine went well very with this fare. This part of Italy offers unbeatable value for money, and the Osteria di Ponzano is a good example. We didn't get to taste their white truffle dishes as it was out of season.

A journey through the flavors and traditions of long ago. Let yourself be captivated by the scents and taste. Typical traditional cuisine from 'Emilia Romagna to Sicily with excellent choice of wines, in the' refined and evocative of our cellar.Shows our
We have just discovered this butcher as we just took residence up the hill from Savigno. Lovely shop, lovely people. They sell more goodies than just meat. Only tried the capocollo so far. ExcellentPS. it is not a restaurant, at most a rosticceria / sandwich. It's a shop!

We enjoyed a lunch at the Mastrossaso at the end of our Italian Days Food tour. The owner/chef prepared grilled meats and his kitchen staff made some wonderful pastas. The food was excellent!

We stopped off here on a Sunday miday and were absolutely delighted to find it.The food was fantastic all served on these fab platters.I ordered a "tagliere caprese" which was absolutely huge to be honest too big for one person.I would suggest in getting one in two.We also had the "Gnocco" whcih I have had various times since moving to Modena but have to say that this has been the best by far.All of this quality at a fantastic price !!Will definitely return

We visited this restaurant on Saturday 7 November during the Tartufesta in Savigno. Because of the white truffle season and the Tartufesta we could not resist taking some home made specialties with white truffel. It was most certainly the best white truffle dish I have ever eaten. Goosebumbs all over :-)This restaurant serves traditional Bolognese cuisine, is cosy and not overpriced! Great place, we would go back whenever back in the region!

The âTrattoriaâ, was opened way back in 1934, by, Amerigo and Agnese. The âTrattoriaâ has always been a reference point in our hills. The simple cuisine, and the products from the courtyard, the hen house, the vegetable patch, the fields and woods are the
Ever wonder what a Michelin One Star could be like with reasonable prices an no pretentiousness? Give this a try. What a wonderful, small, authentic, and welcoming place. We did the tasting menu at 60E per person and it was amazing - traditional but with unique spins. And the 15E for the wine pairings was particularly good - especially at that price...plus the compulsory grappa at the end of the meal. Lovely service from Alberto and his team. We definitely will return!
