My wife and I were driven to this Los Coronas by a relative who lives in Zapallar. This restaurant is a great example of employees taking such pride in a restaurant that when the original owner planned on closing the location, the employees bought it and improved it. Because of this the service is given with pride and extreme care. The food is excellent! We highly recommend the crab empanadas and the Razor Clams are an absolute must. You may never have better Razor Clams. I would feel safe in ordering anything on their menu and you will not be disappointed. Not to mention the wonderful variety and quality of the wines to accompany your meal.
Fantástic homemade empanadas both fried and oven bakedThey have a rich selection, bake them on the spot... we had about 20 different types with variety of cheese, shrimp, meet, fish, scallops,... and all were really goodAlso had a really nice ceviche de locos (abalone)And the homemade lemonades were great as wellAll in all, highly recommended
Family restaurant, variety of meals: pizza, seafood, meats, fish and sandwiches. A nice place very close to the beach

Although the location is very convenient, don't get caught by it, the food is terrible, the prices are even worst, the waiter was always busy running like a headless chicken. Food took forever to arrive, 1 plate first, then two more and after 10 minutes the last plate. They don't take cards as payment method so you have to carry cash or transfer from your bank to theirs if you are lucky to have a Chilean friend to pay the whole bill. The relation price to quality is as far as the moon is the the earth a plate with an over fried piece of fish has a price of 13000 Chilean pesos, about 20 US dollars, and I'm sure anyone one can eat better and cheaper by a nice Mexican Rivera restaurant.Tables are small for a group of four and chairs are very uncomfortable some have a little cushion and some don't.Very unhappy with the place, I recommend to move to cachagua for lunch which is about 10 minutes ride you can take an Uber or a Cabify. The only good thing is that they are pet friendly.

Excellent place. The daily menu is great (you can choose between seafood, meat, and vegetables) and includes excellent desserts (try the nou cami!). We did not have problems to get a table and they receive credit cards ( not usual in picadas).

We were on holidays and wanted to have lunch with our baby girl, the food was fresh, fish perfectly cooked and very tasty! We have lunch at the terrace and it worked perfectly for us, they offer you baby seats and the service was attentive, fast and super friendly, the only downside it is they do not accept cards for now, by even tough itâs a place to go back definitely!

Rated #1 restaurant in Papudo on Tripadvisor, I had to try this place. The setting is simple, two separate salons of an old house right in front of the town's main square, plus some outside seating as well. Inside, cheap plastic tablecloths, wooden chairs, and walls covered with nice B&W photos of celebrities. I wasn't expecting anything else, as Papudo is a very laid back town, still beautifully underdeveloped. Table service is kind, but the kitchen is very slow (something apparently common in several other Papudo restaurants, as I could get from other reviews). Food is just okay, a bit on the bland side, like the cook held back on spice, lemon and salt. The clams gratin (machas) were tiny due to overcooking, and floating in liquid -I have had much better elsewhere. The ceviches lack leche de tigre so the fish bites are sort of dry. The pastel de jaiba (crabmeat gratin) was among the best, although some more flavor wouldn't have hurt. The wine list is short but good, offering a small selection of mid-range Chilean wines.Prices are on the expensive side for a small-town, family-run place (around 25 US dollars per person for just one dish each and a bottle of wine). You might want to try it, but don't get your expectations too high (maybe that was my mistake). Ranking #1 in a town with just a handful of restaurants might not mean that much.

Right by the beach, this small restaurant is famous among people who like to eat well. The owner most of the time is there to supervise that everything goes well, from the attentive service of the waitresses to the fresh and delicious food and drinks. If you want to try a typical "pisco sour", here is the place!. Mostly serves sea food dishes, they are fresh and very tasty, well presented and a generous portion. I was there a few times on my last visit to Chile and really enjoyed it!!. During summer time is recommended to reserve in advance (it could take you a few days to get in).
What to do and see in Zapallar, Chile: The Best Places and Tips
