We are Nomads! We are Happies! Nómada Eco-Hostel is the first in Valparaiso to receive the “sello S” Sustainability Certification. We recycled more than 1 Ton the last year, make compost, heat our bathwater with solar panels and support the local community. YES WE CAN DO THAT AND MORE WITH YOUR HELP!! Our staff is multilingual and ready to show you the best things to do in Valparaiso. Our house have six bedrooms, four bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and a lovely terrace, where guests can enjoy our famous barbecues, concerts or just sit down and chill out. This is where the magic things happen... great experiences, new friends, and amazing stories!!! The hostel is located between the bus terminal and downtown, less than 15 minute walking in either direction. Nightclubs, restaurants, walking tours and museums can all be discovered by foot. This is the most well-connected neighborhood to the public transportation system with buses and metro stations nearby.
Very warm hostel with family vibes and a chilled atmosphere. Easy to socialise with the volunteers and guests and set within a good location between the bus terminal and tourist hotspots. Wonderful breakfast and comfy beds. Big love to the eco fam, Lochie.

We are the biggest, most booked and more awarded hostel in town. Quality is our goal, always! Our location is just perfect, and we have almost 1000 square meters of infraestructure, a bar with foosball and karaoke, cinema & artistics nights, 3 fully equipped kitchens, a chilled patio, 4 big lounge areas, 24/7 reception, 23 big private and shared rooms, 11 shared bathrooms, restaurant, cafeteria, secure lockers and great multicultural staff to help you. Cerro Concepcion, our location, is the greatest neigborhood in town!! is totally central, chill by night, arti, and 3 blocks from an excellent restaurant-bars area!
Stayed here for two nights in a twin private with bunk bed. Our room was in the back building which comes with an own kitchen which was just like the main one quite well equipped. The room was fine apart from the window which couldn't be closed normally and would let the cold air in from outside. The bunk beds are wider than the avg. beds we had so far. The shared bathrooms were rather dirty and NOT cleaned daily. There was the same trash lying in one of the showers for two nights. Another review from March already mentioned this for the same bathroom to which the management replied that they will improve tge situation which is obviously not true. The common area is nice and there's also a bar downstairs. The location is excellent. You can pay with credit card but they surcharge you a 4% fee compared to when paying in cash. They justify it with that as a foreigner you don't need to pay tax (19%) but that has nothing to do with their 4% surcharge! Not sure if that's even allowed in Chile...

We were mainly happy about our visit, the staff is super friendly, the decor is pretty cool, and the rooms are ok. The breakfast was nice too. Kitchen is a bit tiny for the amount of people, but serves the job so we were happy with that too. However some very basic things could be improved, We were staying in a room with stairs where the beds were located upstairs of the room, close to the roof. Although the hostel states that there is silent time after 11pm or so, both nights there was very loud music and sounds of drunken people coming from the roof and even hallways. I understand it's a hostel but I think the personnel should be able to make people stick with the common rules to make sleeping possible for other customers.

"Ponto" means "Puente" in the Esperanto languaje. That sums up our thing: Create links between cultures, traditions, and thoughts with no regard for nationalities, barriers or prejudice. We have a big patrimonial house in Valpariso with 7 rooms and one apartment. Also, during your stay you could take the spanish lessons we offer and be sure of knowing another culture. Hope you stay with us!
Pontoval is a lovely house, Ernesto and Sandra make you feel right at home. The pool is great for post sightseeing relaxing. My room was lovely and cool and breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade cakes and jams. Ernesto was so accommodating, he arranged breakfast early for me when I was leaving. I wish I was staying longer, it is a perfect B&B.

We booked 3 nights as Casa Verde Limón, then decided to reserve another 2 because we were enjoying it, and Valparaíso so much. Things we loved: - comfortable and clean bed - spacious room - awesome common areas - good kitchen facilities, two fridges and cubby space for food - two toilets and 3 showers. The bathrooms were all kept clean - ideal location for checking out the art - Close to bars and cafes - very friendly and easy going staff who have good competency in English language - rely good wifi Things which weren't ideal for us: - despite feeling the place was clean, the shower curtain was well overdue a wash as it had mould on the inside - the knives in the kitchen are very, very blunt

Hostal Po es el hostal en colores de Valparaíso. Todos los muros han sido pintados por artistas porteños. La atmósfera es agradable y puedes disfrutar de la magia, la cultura, el arte y la bohemia de esta hermosa ciudad.
I stayed at hostal Po on an advice of Ali. It’s really a very nice hostal. My telephone was robbed. The staff Miguel and Michael helped me so good! Wonderful! The house is near Plaza Sotomayor and the harbour. So choose this hostal for the best way to feel how Valparaíso is!

The building that occupies was built in 1905, and founded as Residencial Dinamarca in 1970, for their construction noble wood were only used very typical of that time. At the present time the building has been improved completely, where a mixture of style has been performed, combining a contemporary style to the interior of the rooms, with renewed ambient of time in its corridors and common space. From its foundation, this establishment has not changed of owners, it has only be transferred into the family, fact that has generated a style of very personalized attention and first level thanks to the high degree of identification of our employees with the service and the hygiene that we presented. We will be waiting for you.
The hostal is located near the old cemeteries, which is worth to have a quick look around. It is in an old house, with lots of character and although rooms are rather basic, are quite spacious and clean. The bathroom was small, and could do with a make over. There are 2 owners, I only met the woman, and everything I asked seemed too much, although the requests were done. My partner also spoke with the male owner, and he seemed much more friendly, giving advice, and also speaks English. The wifi signal is decent, but not too strong in our room.
