First off we went with a local business couple who made the reservations and know the owners and the restaurant. Girasole advertises that it specializes in meat dishes so I had expected something nice. Only when the waiter served my three dinner companions did he tell me that my grilled filet wasn't coming because the chef didn't like the look of the meat. Got to wonder why they waited to tell me just as my friends were being served. OK a quick look at the mixed grill plates two of my dinner companions had been served and told it would take minutes to prepare. Only when my friends had finished eating 20 minutes later did I get my mixed grill and only when I stopped the waiter and asked about it. To be frank my mixed grill plate was uninspiring, the chicken was oily, the sausages not that tasty but the small grilled filet was nice. Saturday night, the place was busy, the anti pasta was traditional cold cuts and cheese so that was OK. I should add that when we walked in and saw a table being served fresh fish we were told that was the last of it. No apologies for the inconvenience. Don't think I'll return for a long time.

I have used TA for years and never felt the need to review a restaurant. The discrepancy between the service we received and the relatively good reports on TA have moved me to make comment. If you want to be received by surly and rude waiters, overcharged, stuck upstairs in a room void of atmosphere, come out smelling like a Turkish smoke house (the waiters used the upstairs room for their breaks) then this is the place for you. Admittedly the pizzas were good, but nothing could make up for the way we were treated.

Les Gourmets has been one of our favourites. Pizzas are very good. Good selection of fish dishes. Great desserts! The staff is very cordial, the service is fast and the prices are reasonable. Good location in the city center just off the main road.

An old family trattoria in Sarre, just west of Aosta has been completely renovated into a very modern and slick looking restaurant in contrast to most of the restaurants in the Aosta Valley. Open only a month at time of this review we tried both lunch and dinner at different dates. A sign advertising lunch for 12 euros on the SS26 provincial road, between Aosta and Sarre, pulled us in the first time. There was a quick freebie starter, and a couple choices for primi and secondi piatti; essentially pasta and meat options. Food was tasty and filling. On our supper excursion we chose from a select menu. The tortelli stuffed with ricotta was a little thick but otherwise flavourful; the rabbit dish was a strip of meat wrapped around a pate, tasty with a white sauce; probably the most popular at the table however was the first course crespelle, an Italian version of crepes. Dinner for four, two courses each plus starters, couple bottles of wine, coffees and digestivo totalled 120 euros. Overall the food was good and the hosts, members of the original family trattoria, were attentive and happy to offer suggestions. Tastefully decorated there was a slight cafeteria echo sound to the place. Rooms and apartments to be rented later this year as well as a patio just off the ground floor restaurant. Floor to ceiling plate glass windows and sliding doors to the patio offer good views of the south side of the valley. Location isn't obvious given the building is set back from the road and up a narrow drive amongst orchards and vines. Best way to find it is to look for the Conad City grocery store on the SS26 directly opposite Le Resto.

I went more than once at the Mama Fusion Japanese Restaurant, and each and every time had been a marvelous experience. The restaurant derived from the ownerâs family manor house, with a well-groomed garden on the outside and spaced tables positioned in 3 different living room with dark wood matchboard on walls. An outstanding service brings to customers the Mamaâs highlight: sushi! The chef traveled several years around the world absorbing different styles while forging his own. Prices are absolutely fair. I suggest this restaurant as I consider it one of the best sushi restaurant of northern Italy.

Marco and Susi will welcome you in their local to sample breakfast of muffins and homemade cakes, cocktails with frivolity, while in the restaurant tasty dishes created with raw materials km 0, interpreted in a modern and Pop.
We came to this restaurant through a local hint. Cooking is really excellent, professional and creative. Very fresh and tasty ingredients. Service caring and attentive. We'll be back, hopefully!
