Things to do in La Thuile
One of the perks of staying at Le Thovex is having the opportunity to enjoy Ruggero's delicious food. He is very accommodating with food sensitivities and children too.

I have skied many times in La Thuile and have found the restaurants and staff to be very good, however this restaurant is the exception and is probably the worst we have every visited. We waited well over an hour for the waiter to clear our table from the previous occupants and a further 15 minutes before he took our order. During this period Italian couples / families arrived, were seated, orders taken, served and departed, whilst we were consistently ignored, despite on numerous occasions asking if the waiter if he would take our order. The food when it did arrive was very average and expensive. We can only conclude British customers are not welcome here.

The six of us fifty something males were towed up from the ski run by a skidoo which was novel. The hotel has been done up with great style with lovely restaurant with picture windows. Some had the tartiflette and others had bean soup/spaghetti. All thought it was a super lunch venue. Not too full but with great service and we were back on the slopes reasonably quickly.

We stayed in La Rosier for a weeks ski holiday. our friends had been before and already frequented this restaurant before. how lucky for us, after a morning on the slopes travelling across from France this place is great. We all had a fantastic meal, Pizza and pasta of sorts. Great Location and fantastic service. we arrived the first time with 16 of us. No problem getting a table and everyone enjoyed the meal and drinks including the children with us. Very smart waiters and efficient friendly service.Would recommend to anyone. 7.50 for a large pizza. Bargain especially for a ski resort.

On skis or comfortably on foot, youâll find us at Les Suches, behind the ski school, 100 meters from the gondola station. Just come by for lunch or a break, and try our modern and cosy restaurant, with a breathtaking view of the Mont Blanc. The cuisine is
This restaurant is perfectly situated near the gondola lift, where everyone congregates after a morning's skiing. What appeals to me about this place is that you can sit down and be served, rather than queuing up in the self-service restaurants on the slopes. We ate three times here and only once was there a wait. The friendly staff whizz round energetically and the food is excellent for a mountain ski lunch stop. Recommend.

Chalet Eden Restaurant, the organic restaurant of Chalet Eden, gives all of its attention to the selection and cure of prime produce. Only Bio dynamic cultivations and biologically reared produce are used in its kitchen: genuine food, fresh and traditiona
We ate here one evening while staying next door at Boton D'or. Our expectations were quite high, having read positive reviews and other recommendations. We were a bit disappointed. The atmosphere was very quiet, despite the room being almost full. The price (Euros 93 for two courses for two people plus a glass of wine each) didn't feel like good value. The good point was the waitress' knowledge of the menu. We had a few questions which she answered without hesitation - no question of "I'll go and ask the chef" I would need some persuasion to make a second visit.

Tipical mountain design with a little bit of modernity. The Chef, Roberto Villa recommends simple, well-thought dishes without ignoring the wholesome side of cooking. Therefore, with a thought towards healt with low sodium and with the lowest amount of fa
A snowy day was a good excuse for a tasty lunch, and we decided to try out this nicely decorated restaurant. Unfortunately the kitchen isn't up to the friendly and polite service and decorations. The Flan arrived limp and tasteless. The gnocchi, served with local cheese Blue d'Aoste, were obviously not home made, and anyway hard and tough. An average meal that does not match the price.Pity, hopefully the kitchen will improve with time.

Stopped there for lunch with friends and family following the advice for a person we met skiing. The food was good and the service was nice. A must especially if you find a place on the terrace. Book before going to be sure.

We had a nice dinner at La Maison de Laurent. The seafood risotto was a bit unusual and perhaps not a traditional risotto but it was good nonetheless. The ravioli with nut sauce was delicious. The quattro stagione pizza was excellent, the veggie pizza marginally less so and did not look as good so they could work a bit on presentation but this is a minor detail. We had 0.5 ltr of house wine for 5 EUR which was good value, pizzas cost less than 10 EUR so good value too.

The staff were very attentive and the food was nice, but overall we preferred some of the other restaurants in the village. For starter, my husband had the salmon tartare which was excellent and I had the goats cheese which was ok. For main course we both had the duck, which was very nice and came with a small portion of mashed pumpkin. (At previous places we had done a first plate of pasta followed by a second plate of main, and found it too much, which is why here we did the starter and second plate, but with the second plate here being smaller, we could easily have done the pasta first plate and second mains plate). For dessert my husband had tiramissu which was very good, and I had choc mousse which was fine. We had a local Syrah wine which was very good. It looked like they take their wine very seriously there, with a huge selection, covering a wide range of prices. Three courses each + bottle of wine came to 100 Euros total. My husband lost a glove while in the restaurant and we couldn't find it, but we popped back in the next day to ask, and they had it at the counter ready to return to us, which was nice.
