This was undoubtedly the culinary highlight of our week in Courmayeur. A very friendly atmosphere and very professionally rub. I had a starter of gnocchi with scallops - delicious. And a main course of fillet steak, beautifully cooked. House wine perfectly good and the whole evening cost c 50 Euros per head. 10 minutes walk from the town centre but well worth it!

Thanks to the people at La luge for making my last two Korean TMB trekking groups so happy and serving great steaks and burgers. We loved the food and enjoyed meeting the friendly staff. I will be back! Thank you Max and everyone else!

This was unexpected. In a sleepy town outside Courmayeur (but a short drive from the lifts), we made an encounter we will not forget. It's a place with an intense yet friendly atmosphere, with great food and a classy wine list at most reasonable prices. The food is local and very tasty. Tapas sized pastas, cheeses, hams etc. The chef knows what he is doing and doesn't go fancy or over extends, uses great and fresh ingredients and sticks to the script. We were surrounded but a motley crew of happy tourists in the know and local wine makers and restaurant owners. The music is part of the furniture and you can helps shape the evening! Chairs (and music) outside for smokers. But the very best feature of this amazing little jewel is the two owners, Alesandro and Luciano. They are seasoned but so much fun to be around and they definitely like a good party. Haven't laughed this much for years. The only major drawback was that I didn't get home until breakfast time so ended up watching sports on TV nursing a happy hangover. I am going again soonest and booking the hotel across the road. With Sun, snow And Armadillo I need nothing else. Thanks so mach for your visit at the Armadillo and the positive review.Hope to have you soon again at the Dillo.Kind regards,Alessandro

I had heard that some of the best restaurants in Italy are in Courmayeur. This is clearly one that deserves a better ranking in TripAdvisor... We ended up going twice in the week we stayed in town. The fondue mousse which we had as first course is outstanding! It's rare that I am this enthusiastic about a dish. It's light, fluffy and very refined. My wife had fried sweetbreads on both our visits, while I was also tempted by the roast pigeon breast and bread crumbed leg. Both were excellent. I also had a chocolate and citrus fruit pudding. Pleasantly tangy but perhaps not chocolately enough for my liking. Excellent service in classy surroundings in what from the outside looks like a rather unpretentious building. A must if you are a gourmet staying in Courmayeur.

The hotel recommended us this place for a pizza and we were not disappointed! It was one of the best pizza I ever ate (and I am half Italian so I know what Iâm talking about). Fresh ingredients, thin dough and delicious tomato sauce. Plus it was so big I had to ask for a doggy-bag to bring 1/3 of it home ! The staff was very nice and the atmosphere is cosy and friendly (noisy in a good way). The place is very simple. I recommend !!!

I had been for a week end in Courmayeur with friends. The moment could not be more perfect than it was. A lot of snow after a great snowfall. The village plenty of a romantic atmosphere. And when we needed to complete the day with a beautiful dinner, we've got here, "Allo Sciatore", where the meats are "SUPER" but any other foods as well.Enjoy !

Bacon, dried beef and chestnuts Gnocchi with fondue Humid with polenta or smooth Stew with mushrooms, sausage, carbonada, deer Homemade desserts House wine and coffee and other tasty dishes to choose We organize dinners and lunches, settled for events.
We'd hoped to have supper here but only lunch was available the day we were there. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly and efficient waitress despite the place being really busy. The local wine recommendation (Enfer) was spot on and the polenta was really tasty. The desserts were great too.Would definitely return.

Paola and Nicolaâs restaurant offers the best food in Courmayeur by a mile. The innovative menu which combines creations from Sardinian and Val DâAosta specialties are simply superb. Each season they introduce some novelties but the quality of ingredients is always great. The ambience is super cozy. The hosts are super welcoming and gentle. Perfect place for lunch in the summer outdoor and in winter for lunch or dinner. Super recommended!
