At Christmastime, the entire city of Valkenburg seems to sparkle with festive light. The annual underground Christmas market is a hallmark of the city, lasting from mid-November through December 23. It’s held in the Velvet Caves, a maze of 12th-century passageways that lies beneath the remains of Valkenburg’s hilltop castle. The caves and castle draw visitors year-round. Valkenburg is a biking city. It's a great base for cycling tours and is a two-time stage finish site for the Tour de France.

Perfect stay in the basement of the Villa. The room itself was normally sized, but the bathroom was relatively large. Rooms are of good quality with a great bed. My room had small windows, which is logical in a basement room. Breakfast is served in a separate building. The real disadvantage is getting your key. This is far away from the Villa (Parkhotel). Luckily enough I didn't lock myself out during my stay......

Nice small hotel in a Nice arera. Bath is not in the room. It can be at little cold. What puts this humble little hotel on top is the atmosphere. Nice People. Good trappist beer, and when you follow Amstel Gold Race its perfekt. See you next year.

The hotel is family run and the owners are very friendly and helpful. It is 5 minutes from the centre of a beautiful small town which comes alive with amazing xmas markets in caves and various other things. At night time it is lit up with xmas lights and the many restaurants and bars are very welcoming. The hotel is clean and friendly and provides all that is required including a lovely free breakfast. This hotel is ideal for anyone visiting the area

What a beautiful accommodation in Valkenburg. This was a 1 night stop on our Christmas vacation as we made our way to Ghent. Bridgette and her husband went out of their way to make sure our every need was taken care of. The rooms are stunning and super clean. Everything about this accommodation is perfect. I would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone.

We had rooms 2,4 and 5 for the Eroica weekend and none of us had a bad word to say, Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were a good size and very clean, with very comfortable beds. We also were tempted into the restaurant and wasn’t disappointed. Perfect location for what we wanted. Definitely recommend

Nice people. Fabulous spread for breakfast. Lots of sweetbreads, eggs, toast, meat, cheese, yogurt, cereal, pretty much anything you could want. Small winding staircase made it tough to carry a bag up, even a small one. Room was very small. No soap, no shampoo. Location was close to downtown and everything.

It's a quiet hotel which is lovely managed by Tom and Yvonne. The building is very tactical, it's located near all the main attractions of Valkenburg. We stayed two night for ChristmasThe entrance is lovely and upon check-in we immediately felt at home... on the ground floor you can enjoy a splendid lounge, with comfortable spaces, a little bar with a nice coffee machine and fridges, board games, books and magazines. Free coffee / tea always available, other drinks for a fee. We stayed in room 8 and stayed divinely! The rooms are simple, quiet and spotlessly clean, the bathroom had a pleasant shower and everything worked perfectly. Great free wifi and tv. The breakfast, good and varied, was served with attention and taste. Throughout the our stay we breathed a familiar and kind atmosphere, in total freedom...and always smiling people in the common areas. We loved every moment! We will come back for sure, thank you so much for the professionality and the very high welcome! Vince&Jay
