Important: season 2019 is over, we will reopen on May 2020. The restaurant has a wonderful lake view, which is only a few meters. We are less than an hour from Turin among the most beautiful mountains in the piedmont. During dinner the candlelight and the

This restaurant is located in an idyllic hotel of the same name outside of Turin, and near the French border. The restaurant makes its own pasta, which is an immediate plus, and as well as a-la-carte it also offers a number of themed menus. These are fine, and quite good value, but for us none of the combinations worked; there was always something we did not want, or something we did want but which was missing. Others may have better luck.We ate there two nights, and both nights our dishes were good without being superlative. The lasagne were very good, but the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms did not quite hit the mark. The restaurant leans heavily towards stews, featuring deer and other game. These were tasty, but certainly not refined. They are also bare (in the Italian manner) and you will need to order "contorni" (accompanying vegetables) to balance out the protein. We were always too full to try desserts, so some other reviewer will have to fill that gap.The restaurant has an extensive list of local and other wines at quite decent prices.Buona sera Sig.

Truly horrible food. Pizza with cheap toppings and terrible over cooked pasta.Sauces all exactly the same and flavourless.Do yourself a favour - don't waste your time and money here. Go literally anywhere else in the valley and you'll have better food.Enjoyed the friendly staff and sauna inspired decor.

I have visited this excellent and reasonably priced restaurant twice during our skiing holiday. The restaurant is clean and fresh and has a warm and friendly atmosphere. The pizzas are simply some of the best we have ever had anywhere! The menu is straightforward with a good choice of pizza. They have duplicate menus in English if you really need one. There are other dishes on the menu. The wine list is very good and they have excellent beer. The service is both very friendly and efficient.Booking in advance is highly recommended.

La Bergerie

Reviewed By Ann G

We were four and none of us were impressed with the food or service. We were given burnt garlic bread for starter. This was followed by 2 'wok' dishes (1 vegetarian and 1 beef) both burnt and both advertised as containing vegetables but we found none. The tagliatelle bolognese had about 2 dessert spoons worth of sauce. We asked for some cheese to go on top and the waiters never returned (in fact completely disappeared, despite the place being almost empty). The best dish was a lasagne which was also nothing special. Once we had complained about the food and told them we'd finished we were ignored and after 20 mins had to go to the bar and pay on our way out. Our beers and cokes were OK.
