On the edges of West London, Premier Inn London Uxbridge is a smart place to stay if you're flying in and out of Heathrow, visiting friends and family at Brunel University or want easy access to more central parts of the city. I am currently lying in my bed listening to two motorbikes revving around the car park outside my window . They are doing wheelies and racing each other . I've been down to reception ,who are very aware of this pr

Originally built in the 16th century, The Red Lion Hotel continues to combine old world craftsmanship, with its exposed timber beams and large Tudor fireplace with modern day comforts. Overlooking Hillingdon Hill Charles 1 is reputed to have taken respite in The Red Lion in 1646. The hotel has 55 elegant, air conditioned guest bedrooms and a restaurant that enjoys a reputation for great food. The Bar offers a friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere and serves a fine selection of Fuller's award winning beers. The Red Lion Hotel is an ideal base for both business and leisure visitors, close to Uxbridge town centre and Brunel University and within easy reach of Heathrow Airport. Wembley Stadium is a short journey on the Metropolitan line tube, which also gives access to Central London.
Just ticks all of the boxes. Clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly, nice food, good parking and the most comfortable bed I have ever had whilst away. It’s been extended over the years and the bedroom corridors are a bit of a warren but once you get the hang of it it’s fine.

This is a decent low cost option for visiting London on a budget, as the tube station is right opposite, and you can be in the city in about 50 minutes. Bear in mind though that the recommended car park is currently £20 per 24 hours. The hotel itself was modern, brand new and very clean. All the staff were very friendly and the standard of service was high. Shower cubicle was very small and there wasn't a huge amount of storage but the room was absolutely fine for a night or two.

7 of us travelled down for the football so just needed a place to rest our heads for the night nothing else, the price of £30 per person so close to London was amazing! The host Jaga was so lovely and made sure we had everything we needed, knowing we were going to be coming back late he stayed up to let us in and sort out all our rooms! Would definitely stay again for the price as it’s a great basic place to lay your head!

I stayed here for one night this week, booked and pre-paid online. I arrived around 9.30 in the evening, the reception wasn’t manned. Someone came out of another door and was surprised I was there. He asked me to wait, and he shuffled past me (no mask, no distancing) with what looked suspiciously like pillowcases. ( no clean sheets, then?) I was shown to the room. Oh, my, God. I have never seen anything like it. The carpet was heavily stained, as was the toilet pan. There was no toilet paper, and the shower was out of order. The TV was unplugged, and casually leaning against the wall. A lamp was plugged into the socket meant for the TV, so I guess you had to choose your method of lighting the room. My choice should have been pitch black, so I couldn’t see the depressing state of my surroundings. Instead, I decided to put the main light on, and joy of joys, to my surprise it was a full-on piercingly bright UV light. Oh, if only I actually had had some heroin with which to inject myself to dull the painful knowledge that I had actually paid good hard cash for the misfortune of staying in such a relentless pit. But no, sadly lacking in the opiate department, I consoled myself with the thought that even if I’d had some, I wouldn’t have been able to partake due to the uv light preventing me finding a vein. Oh well, at least James Dean is leering down at me as I try desperately to avoid getting into the bed with sheets that last saw the inside of a washing machine who knows when. It’s not until the cold, hard, light of day that I can see the full filth on the “bathroom” door and handle. Beam me up Scotty, please.
