Ravana's wife cooked up a feast. The veg. Curry had great flavorful chunks of pumpkin and her coconut sambal is the best we've had. Our friends had the kottu which had lots of egg and fresh veggies (unlike sometimes when it's just a mass of fried rotti). Great price and quieter than eating in down in the main Street in Ella.

our family had breakfast here during our whole stay in Ella. it was very delicious and huge breakfast. you can select out of there menu. its a good point rather than getting continental breakfast as usual.you can enjoy birds while having breakfast in their lovely garden.

During our stay in Ella, we attended an evening cooking class at The Apple Inn run by professional chef Sanath. It was such a great evening learning about local spices, how and why theyâre used in certain combinations and all with a beautiful backdrop of Ella Rock and the valley. All finished off with a feast from the prepared foods! Would highly recommend attending this class!

We stayed here can recommend it we also eat here, why go else where when perfect curries are on the door step. The food is freshly cooked, good quality and as you ask for, want a hot spicy curry they will make it just perfect. You can eat European it's good but give me their curries any day so Sri Lankan. Take a cookery class and cook your own lunch. Have stayed here 3 times and always eat here everything is so fresh.

We're located on the main street with an ECO friendly architecture. We serve Sri Lankan Cuisines at our best for an affordable price. Apart from that we do serve Chinese, Italian & European also.

While in Ella I went back to Chef House twice as the food was great, service was great and the atmosphere was very friendly. Our first night in Ella we came as a family to Ellement and give it one of our best reviews. The atmosphere, friendly and attentive service from Kamal and very well prepared and tasty food made our experience perfect, which is why we rate it so high. Great stop for families and good place to chill out. We were told to try the Resto Restaurant, but when we got there I was put off with being seated in a smoking area, and the place was virtually empty, which was a warning sign in itself. When I ordered the cheese and tomato submarine, this came with cooked peppers, and which later gave me cramps. The toilet was also dirty. I should have just left then, but we had walked a long way to get there.

I chose this cafe as it was quiet but people were having dinner here. Service by Prathap was really good. He was kind and explained the menu. Food was good quality and great price. (Less than 800LKR for curry and rice with a drink). Highly recommended
