Things to do in Porvoo
As holiday season has started we grabbed a lunch in Sabaai's market square's booth and once again got a great value to our money. Simple food with rich flavours as in the orginal restaurant indoors. The vegetables are best in town. Even I as a man could only eat only those and get full. The portion sizes are good and you don't need to grab few burgers from grill as a dessert what you need to do from few other restaurants in town. Could not help to visit again with an old friend later that week.
Delightful surprise! Limited menu but with genuine Thai tastes, served with the famous smile. Generous portions at reasonable prices. We tried chicken green curry, chicken sweet&sour, and phad thai. They were all lovely, with a nice chili bite (and you can add more if you want), which helped recovery from previous night's rock festival and after-rock.
An Ngon restaurant is Porvoo's first buffet restaurant that offers varieties of Finnish and Vietnamese dishes.
In the outskirts of the center, in the easter industrial area on the 2nd floor of the mixed market Mikrokulma, An Ngon serves a mix of Vietnamese and Finnish home made food. The place is popular among workers and is usually crowded at lunch time. Friendly young Vietnamese at the cashier.
