We had high expectations: one in our group had been here a number of times previously and had good experiences, and also reviews were promising. But we found that the price/quality ratio was only average, maybe not even that. Main courses well above 20â¬. Too much for a very small portion of fish (the taste and look were very good, though), and for the burger dish: french fries were sloppy and there was not enough taste in the burger. The beef was fried according to what we hoped, and the ketchup was really excellent! Best ever! But price - too high. The interior is really nice! The restaurant was full on an ordinary weekday - probably not possible to find a table without reservation.Mixed feelings about the staff: a bit arrogant somehow, but good with recommendations and knowledge about the menu. There was some hesitation to fulfill our wishes regarding seating arrangements, but after a while all was organized according to what we had asked.Despite some (quite many) things we found could be improved, I would (and probably will) visit again to give a second chance. There was an atmosphere of quality and love of good food and professionalism, even though this time the restaurant did not quite make it.

This restaurant is located at 2nd floor at Historical (opened 1930's) Helsinki-Malmi Airport. At daytime it's popular among those people who are working at nearby area. Most popular seems to with visitor's who want to see this historical, but still in everyday used place, Airport with small private planes & also helicopters and some historic aircraft during Summer Season.Gate1 offers wide range of food which varies daily. Dessert and similar with tea or coffee also. Views through windows straight into apron area are the best.

Located in Bonus Inn hotel. The set up is very cosy and comfortable. Tried some finnish cuisine. Had the salmon soup (average), the Arctic Char (It was good), and the Reindeer with mesh potatos (Has a strong meaty smell though). Total cost about 55 Euros.Probably the only restaurant in this are that has more Finnish Food in their menu. They do have other food (ie. burgers etc ) Portion was large.Food wise was a hit and miss.Service was Fantastic though, the waiter was very attentive and smiling always. Feels like dining in someone's home instead.

Jyvänen is a nice local bar and restaurant in Martinlaakso, this place have nice amount of different siders and beers to taste and also nice terass to enjoy them out if the weather is nice. Staff is very polite and feeling is relaxed and nice. Sadly, the food is downgraded from the first days of this restaurant but it is still quite ok. Still the best place to have beer or food in Martinlaakso.

We had Christmas Lunc with a fairly large group in Backas. These Xmas lunches tend to be the same no matter where you go. Traditional Finnish Christmas food was served here as well. It wasnât better or worse than half a dozen other places I have had similar lunches this year. An old mansion forms a very calming and stylish surroundings. The restaurant is open only during special seasons or events. It opens as a lunch restaurant in Jan though and is definitely worth checking out, I know I will.

We had a late flight and wanted to eat before. There are several interesting options at the airport but this one had great views and interesting menu options: a range of salads, sandwiches, burgers and bowls - but not cheap of course!We both had the quinoa bowl with Portobello mushroom and it was excellent. Very good quality for airport food. My Colleague had a spicy mangotini which was small but spicy. I had a beer. The dishes were around 20 euros, cocktail 12 and beer 9 - so restaurant prices, but also restaurant quality. You order at the bar. Kitchen was busy when we arrived so plan for a 20-25 min wait for food. Definitely a good option for tasty food at the airport.

Very good brunch for the price. Basic stuff like salads, potatoes, some meats, wings, waffles and a huge dessert table. For the price it was more than enough and quality was good. They even had super hot sauce, which is always a bonus.

I was a bit apprehensive as the reviews were mixed, but for airport food this place fully exceeded my expectations although a little pricy. We had the kids pizza which was more than reasonable at just under 10 Euro, and was quite filling, even for an adult and the apple tart which was delicious enhanced by the marscapone. The cocktails were nice, strong and well made.

This is a quite trendy bar restaurant with good hype in the Clarion Airport. The menu is quite limited and in my opinion a bit overpriced but the quality is high and the service excellent friendly and efficient. I had heard plenty good about this restaurant in Myyrmäki area at Vantaa. Surrounding restaurants at this area aren't state of the art, so compared to them, this place is a crown jewel.As entering the restaurant, the staff greeted and made immediately feel welcome. At lunch you order at the counter from simplified lunch menu, which is enough. We went for a pulled pork burger and a salad. The salad bar as an appetiser is included with bread, I have to say that bread was fresh, still warm.Tables are with old aerial pictures of city of Vantaa. Cool, even though couldn't recognise the area, even at the bottom says which borough.Burger was served with french fries which were very good, the starter salad was good balance to it. Salad portion was huge and tasty.The young lady, who was cleaning and collecting dirty dishes, was amazing. She was very good at her job, asking how you liked etc. You could really see that the staff has been trained and they like what they do.As a summary, for sure I will return to test the real menu.
