The holy city of Rishikesh, in the base of the Himalayas, holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for local Hindus. Sacred rivers and mountains set the scene for yoga and reflective hikes, and rafting here is an absolute must. The Beatles got in touch with their Eastern spiritual side here, writing several songs during a 1968 stint at a local ashram.

Guys, this place was food porn at its finest! We already came here several times and what we can recommend are:- vegan chocolate/peanutbutter brownie combined with the sweet Lassi- spring rolls with Thai I sauce- fresh made Humus- vegetables curryBUT! be aware it's gonna take a long time for the owner to take your orders and then another 30-40 minutes for the food to be prepared, as there is only 1 1/2 people in the kitchen.LOcation: MADE with Love. It's a little garden in the middle of a lot of concrete.Hi Candy, thank you so much for your beautiful words. For India, the prices are very expensive. The food portions are also small. The food tasted fine - nothing to rave about, but it was clean and the staff were competent. I ate here twice but don't plan to eat here again.

I visited Hungry Yogi Health Cafe, when I went to Rishikesh to complete my yoga teacher training, and I loved it! I quickly became a regular, eating there for all three mealtimes sometimes! The staff at this cafe are wonderful and very accommodating, if you have any special requests and the food there was delicious and all freshly prepared. They have an extensive menu to suit different dietary needs and for me personally it was one of the best menus I came across!

The best part of this place is Mukti himself. He does pretty much everything from taking orders to cooking (with some help from his wife). This place is a little "hole in the wall" restaurant with a small menu and very limited seating. The kitchen is right next to the seating, so you get to watch Mukti work his magic. The main negative aspect of this restaurant (in my opinion) is the location. It is in the rickshaw parking garage of Ram Jhula and the noise can be rather intense (especially around lunch time). There can be a lot of very loud honking, people shouting, engines revving, etc.Another potential negative is wait time. Since there is only Mukti cooking, it can take awhile if the place is full. Otherwise, this place has good healthy food, decent portion sizes, and fair prices. I would say that it is worth checking out
