"The secret of success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside."Well, there's a mild difference between good food and excellent food. Situated in the heart of Rajpur Road, Moti Mahal serves THE MOST AUTHENTIC INDIAN CUISINE and of course, it is an excellent one.The first time when I came in Dehradun with my parents, this place has become an eye-candy for our luncheon. The ambiance of this palace-like hotel gives you a feeling of utmost comfort and the staff! Oh, so courteous. They have a perfect knowledge of handling irritating customers like, my father. Hahahaha....We had Chicken cream soup to start our lunch. The blended cream increased our appetite even more. We ordered mutton seekh kebab and to my surprise I could see my dad drooling over it and going nuts as well haha.... I had to snatch some pieces from his plate else I would've missed my part! Sorry! I know I'm mean hahaha....We had garlic naan and tandoori roti which were conventional as always. Chicken tikka masala and chicken butter masala were some of the dishes about which I really feel, "This restaurant's gonna pull me for sure... hahaha".And here comes the showstopper, "Rara Mutton" which left us awestruck. It was sexy as hell.... Imagine a food to be sexy like that...hahaha.... the way they have spiced it up really makes you feel proud to be an Indian. So many spices mixed together in a single dish results a wonderful dish like, Rara Mutton. Showstopper was indeed, the sexiest. We ended the lunch with two bars of chocolate ice-cream which whispered us to visit, yet again to the venue.

Punjab to Dehradun : The amalgam of the royal tastes and the Sikh flavors has placed Punjab on a high culinary pedestal. The food fit for the royals! Punjab Grill refabricates experience by making it richer and modern but also keeps the old ideals at the
Probably the most high-end restaurant in the city, but the food at Punjab Grill doesn't deserve its price tag. The menu makes everything sound amazing but then the dishes arrive and they're the same as you'd get anywhere else. Certainly not bad - it's just that you could spend a quarter of your bill down the road and be quite content. Setting is nice though and unusually for Dehradun the music was a normal volume!

One word is enough to describe the place, food is really good, along with that the service and hospitality are also good, a bit expensive but worth every dime. It provides rooftop dining not open rooftop but the kind of decor they have will do.

There are very few south indian restaurants in Dehradun city & most open for lunch. This was the only one which was open for breakfast during our visit. It's airconditioned, the interiors are elegant, very clean, spacious tables and excellent service.South indian platter was a thaali with dosa, vada, idli, Upma, etc. in one plate. The quantity was more hence we shared the food. The prices were high but the food was fresh, hot & very tasty, so we did not mind the price.

We opted for the Indian portion of the menu. Nothing particularly to âwrite home aboutâ. A standard Muttar Paneer,Chicken dish, garlic Nan, SL Soda and Jerri rice. All well prepared and very good service. These seatings are quite large and tables well dressed. Must be the fasting period as we were the only ones in attendance. Opted to pay with International Visa Card.. worked in 4 continents including India but with 2 x âPin Ok â was told âmachine is not accepting your Cardâ. So paid in cash and suggested the replace their machine. Requested my bill be marked Paid and Signed.

This restaurant is at the best place i.e. Rajpur road (the heart of the city).the ambiance of the restaurant is so amazing! There is a self service rule and the place have sections of veg and non veg separately. The music fills the place and our mood to the best. You should have a try to it! I loved it seriously and will surely go there again. ?The prices are reasonable for the services and food they have to offer. (PS: they have a buffet system) ;) here you get a complimentary non-alcoholic drink.

As usual we found our dishes to be acceptable, with good service overall. Unfortunately for us just prior to arrival of our food the band players appeared and what followed was anything conducive to eating and certainly nullified any possible conversation across the table. The music was what I would enjoy had there been a dance floor provided so I had a choice of what to do. If Management feels music would be a nice accompaniment to Evening Dining then soft low Very background Music would be acceptable not what we met this Evening. If we return we will call ahead to see if a Band is present. Disappointed this visit.
