Sinds mei 2017 mogen wij onze gaste
Visiting Utrecht for a week, and this was absolutely the dining highlight of the trip. GO! Recommend you skip lunch, then order the Chefâs Surprise. We have family in the restaurant business and are hard to impress, but we enjoyed the care, attention and amazing selection of food. Ask for a table right on the canal for an added treat....

NICE if you come to BADHU. We serve a lot of small dishes, with Arabic flavour, to share. We also serve Arabic beer and wine and homemade cocktails. In summer you can enjoy your coffee with delicous pie or Arabian sweets or breakfast on our sunny terrace.
A Turkish restaurant in an old Bathing house, how appropriate! This time we just had coffee, but next time I would really like to try dinner at this super cosy, yet modern club-like, Turkish restaurant.

The main course was cold. Everything else was just great but cold mains ruined the meal for us.Oddly, we waited fifty five minutes between ordering our meal and the arrival of the mains. Ordered at 18.20, when six diners were present, it arrived at 19.15. The starters arrived in ten minutes, then nothing for forty five minutes. My host chose not to chase it up and as a guest who wasn't paying, I sat on my hands.I'm going to add two and two here and inagine that someone forgot us and that two almost complete plates of food were sitting in the kitchen un-noticed for ages. Can that happen? I've no idea. So, the coldest dish was cod, with asparagus and aubergine with rice and a tahini sauce. Everything except the cod was room temperature or cold and the sauce had curdled and melted onto the plate and was cold too.The starter was lovely, along with hummus and flatbread. The place has a lovely light airy feel, the folks serving were great, everyone was enjoying themselves and most reviews are very positive. Those anciliaries drag it up to three stars for us on the evidence of this visit, from two. So, I'm going with a guess that what happened to us is a rare thing. But the main really was poor. Someone hid our main courses in the fridge before they remembered and added the cod? No idea. And how to curdle tahini sauce into a cold grainy gloop? Beats me.Then a diner beside me got her cod dish in about fifteen minutes. The sauce looked perfect and the veg were steaming. It all looked wonderful. Ouch. We paid the same money. But we might go back and give them another chance. Maybe...
