The outside of the building looks lovely, a striking design maintained from the early / mid 1800;s with a garden seated area and large windows is very inviting. We arrived early, asked if we could book in early and told that it was not possible as the hotel receptionist didn't start until 12 noon. No biggy, we explored the town which was a lovely little place that should definitely be visited. When we did get too our room, the handle on the door was broken on the inside along with the bathroom door which did not shut as the hinges were hanging out of the frame. We informed reception who thanked us for letting them know. Th interior of the building is very nice, the room, despite the issues was functional, warm and the bed was nice.Food at the restaurant was poor. I ordered Pizza and got a 5 inch flat bread with not great tomato sauce, all around not great. The bruschetta looked like it had been hot with a landslide of tomato's. The fried potato was above average.

We came to try out a different pancake place. Yet, we were disappointed, staff seemed a bit absent. Some drinks didn't have ice in them, even though it was a warm day. The pancakes were decent, nothing special. Worst of all, the place was swarming with flies.

Last Sunday met a friend. Long time no see. Demmers is open from 11am onwards. Located at the Brink. We had a few cappuccino's and black coffee's. Both come with cookies. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere. More people were around but never too crowded or noisy. Some of them having breakfast, from what I saw it looked attractive.

Visited here with my wife for the first time. Everything I like in a restaurant applied to this place! Good parking, quiet and beautiful area, friendly and very efficient service, low noise inside (carpeted floor), good chairs and tables, fine layout, not to close to other tables. And then the real reason why one visits a restaurant: the food was excellent. The bisque and the cod were very fresh and I did not detect the faintest smell of fish. The portions were very balanced and for some dishes a senior portion is available. There is a seriously good chef in the kitchen. We decided immediately to return soon, this is how a restaurant is meant to be (IMHO).

No English menu but a really nice and friendly staff to translate. The food looks great and taste good. They also have a free WiFi.When the weather is good you can start with a nice drink outside and enjoy the nature view. The prices are a bit high but for a nice business dinner this is a good choice in the area.

My in laws live in Baarn and I have visited them many times for over 30 years. Baarn is a great small village close to some fabulous restaurants, but it had not a good restaurant itself. That is until now. The new restaurant opened a few months ago and I was pleasantly surprised by the 3 course menu offered. At a reasonable price, I had a superb meal, delicate, well balanced, and truly delicious. For those visiting Baarn, certainly a place to consider for dinner. Great service.

The restaurant is ideally situated on the bank of the river and presents, right from the entrance of the premises, a warm and cosy atmosphere. The personnel is very qualified and service absolutely classy, with the right balance of discretion, care and personal attention to customer. The employees are elegant and well trained, and visibly like their job, and we could feel it.The 4 or 3 course menu options were presented perfectly and were immediately giving the envy to try all. Which we did, choosing the 4 course meal.Portions are completely adequate, rich, but not overfilling. No pretention and focus on excellent products.Totally meeting expectation. The fish was cooked to perfection and the meat was savoury. Side dishes are really worked on and there is nothing to say about breads and dessert, which are of equal quality. The wines are in line with the rest. The dining experience in this place meets the criteria "this is worth what it cost". Final note is that the bill is reasonable with regards to the category of the restaurant.Really nice dinner.Special mention for the attention of the staff for a new born baby and its mother, and the delicate way they accomodated the serving schedule of the dishes in conjunction with the mother and child needs with a nice caring attitude.

We had a pleasant lunch with various salads, butter baked flounder done the Dutch way to perfection (2 slip tongetjes) and coquette balls ( 8 bitterballen) with Dutch mustard. We had several baguettes with various cheeses, the bread was double baked. Our server was helpful and pleasant and went out of his way to make us comfortable, excellent English was spoken by all the staff at the restaurant. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and the quantity of the delicious bar type food served. Thank you for a wonderful luncheon.Wow, Thank you very much for the beautifull words! We'll hope to see you soon.Greetings Tom & Manon

This is my fav. when visiting Amersfoort. Food is delicious and very well prepared. The menu offers an excellent balance for any preference. Service is swift and friendly. I almost always go for their classic burger as it is delicious. The other meat, vegan and fish dishes are at least as good!So a must visit when you are in the area!
