Reviewed By New_friends_GRMy spouse and I were in the Utica area over a weekend in December 2021 celebrating my brother's birthday (at the Dave & Buster's next door) and had the opportunity to spend at Saturday night at this hotel. We arrived at around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon and were able to check in. Our check-in process went smoothly, our room (#422) was clean and comfortable, and we were able to eat a decent breakfast the following morning. No major complaints. The faucet in our bathroom was really loose but it was just a sign of the hotel's age. One thing about our room that we did notice was that we couldn't open the blinds all the way up. Something about the chain mechanism only allowed us to have our blinds open halfway, which was slightly annoying. I appreciated being able to use one of the business center computers to surf the Internet. This hotel has an indoor pool which looked okay, but we didn't use it because there was no hot tub (we always love being able to use hot tubs in hotel pool areas... slightly disappointed that this hotel didn't have one). A big frustration, though, was the noise level... nothing that the hotel staff can do much about. There are signs saying that the public areas are "closed" after 10 p.m., but I don't know how much that can be enforced. There were some loud guests on our floor late at night as we were trying to get to sleep which was frustrating, but after I said something to them in the hall, they quieted down. Overall, the hotel itself was just fine (despite the loud patrons) and I'd have no qualms about staying there again.

Reviewed By CJpaligaThe staff were very friendly and the rooms were very large and spacious. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast the next morning was nice and included a variety of items that pleased everyone. They have a small bar that we were able to sit and watch a hockey game.

Prefect hotel no amenities
Reviewed By lee-ann BI booked for location. Hottub and full breakfast. I didn't realize hottub was down for renovation. My fault. Nothing online says they are not serving a full breakfast. Just apples yogurt etc. Nothing really. For those reasons I'm disappointed as I specifically picked a hotel fir these amenities and there are so many hotels in this area. With that said; room was newly renovated and clean. Call hotel before you book if u want to ensure your getting amenities.

We booked through Priceline (which I will never do again) and could not get my money back so we HAD to stay here for 5 l-o-n-g nights. It's dirty, there is no lighting in the room and most definitely none in the bathroom, the a/c unit was stuck at 75, the refrigerator was stuck at freezing and a can of pop blew up in the fridge, the coffee pot and iron were missing from the room, housekeeping "forgot" to clean our room one day, housekeeping never cleaned the toilet and there was a big ring around it, the outside of the hotel had cigarette butts all over the front entrance, shall I go on???? The whole place should be totally renovated! I hated it and will NEVER stay in this dump again!!!

Our Staybridge Suites hotel is located in Utica, a suburb in Northern Macomb County about thirty minutes from downtown Detroit.We offer a choice of three spacious suite accommodations, excellent for extended stays: studio, one bedroom and two bedroom/two bath suites. All suites feature fully appointed kitchens, including microwaves, coffee makers, dishwashers and full-size refrigerators with ice makers.We offer a deluxe complimentary breakfast buffet featuring Wolfgang Puck Coffees, freshly-made golden malted waffles, hot oatmeal or choose our 'On the Go' breakfast, a Continental breakfast bagged to go as early as 5:30 AM. Accommodated large family however disappointed....

I booked this stay based on availability of suite with kitchenette and close proximity to family and restaurants, etc. Upon checking in our suite was not clean, bag full of trash under the sink, dusty furniture, dishes in dishwasher, tape all over walls probably from party decorations, very worn furniture, coach with corner of cushion probably chewed on, mold in bathroom. We repeatedly had to kick the bottom of the door to enter the suite as the door stuck. The tv remotes did not work. Went to front desk and got an apology and maintenance was sent to switch out the tv remotes? The laundry facilities are complimentary which is a plus but the washers are not wiped down, detergent dispensers filthy with detergent running down the front of washers and lint never removed. While I know there’s a need for accommodations accepting dogs, seems dogs are allowed to roam the halls unsupervised, back courtyard is for all to enjoy yet dogs unleashed running around. Oh and then the barking late into the night... I have 2 dogs and would never allow this behavior! While this hotel had the space we needed, kitchenette for long stay and complimentary breakfast, the other issues outweighed the convenience for us. We travel here to see family a couple of times a year and will stay elsewhere.

Reviewed By jaymauriceThe grounds, facility and the room was extremely clean. Also, the coffee was not good. The gym was nice.It has treadmills, elliptical machines as well as dumbells from 5 to 50. Don't stay on the freeway side, it can be noisy as night. Overall the property is above average. Oh yeah... The service was 5 ?.
