The city was named after fearless fur-trader and adventurer, Peter Skene Ogden, who explored the untamed area in the 1820s. Since then, Ogden has seen poverty and prosperity, conflict and celebration. Today, although a more subdued and modern place, the city is still big on action and adventure the whole family can enjoy. Take the kids to ogle the more than 100 life-size replicas of pre-historic creatures at the Ogden Dinosaur Park and Museum. Or head to the Tree House Museum, one of the best of its kind in the U.S. Adults will find plenty to enjoy on local golf courses or hiking trails in the summer, and everyone will love the local winter ski resorts. A grand old depot, Union Station is a must see for history buffs and anyone interested in trains and railroads. Be sure to stroll along 25th Street downtown. This historic block was the center of activity in the early 20th-century and is home to many restored buildings from the railroad era. The street also boasts an eclectic mix of restaurants, one-of-a kind shops, antique stores and art galleries.

Located on historic 25th Street in Ogden, Pig & A Jelly Jar restaurant serves a fresh, from scratch menu with a unique twist on comfort food.
Good vibe going on here. The food wasnât perfect but decent overall. I had the Pig Burger, ordered it medium and it was well done. The fries were fresh but too greasy. Fried pickles were yummy but again greasy.. I think they have something special here and with just a little attention to the small details would turn it into an epic location.

I forgot how much I loved this place in spite of the seats that need to be replaced this is still a great place to eat. I had the steak salad and hubby had the burger. There is always lots of food at a great price. I need to come back for breakfast because I love the breakfast burrito.

This diner doesn't look like much from the outside, but they have a great breakfast, and make their own salsa, which is really good. I had a three egg omelet with cheese and salsa, and grits. It was delicious! Staff are friendly and attentive. I will be back

When you experience our Ogden diner, itâs hard to believe the building once housed a Blockbuster store. Beautifully transformed, the diner took its place in Central Ogden, just west of the Hwy 89 and 12th Street intersection, in the dead of a snowy winter
The food is worth it, fair portion sizes and the biscuits I had were amazing- not dry or clogged up your pipes. For a Saturday morning they were not as busy as I thought so we were sat quickly. The wait staff at the counter could be friendlier.

There were some regulars having coffee, but mine was the first breakfast order of the day. My Spanish Skillet was undercooked. The frozen potatoes were "hash whites", the onions were still raw, and the ham barely warmed. Even the skillet was room temperature. Didn't send it back, but I'm sure others would have.
