The food here is as good as any Iâve had in the us: the phó is flavorful and loaded with noodles and meat; the banh mi is authentic and substantial. What separates Phó Bánh from great Vietnamese restaurants is the service: there ainât any. You order from a counter, you fetch your own drinks, you bus your own table. Which I donât mind, except that youâre paying full-service prices.

This little gem is attached to the Saigon Market and has excellent Pho. The prices are cheap, the menu is small and you may have to wait a few minutes before someone realizes you have walked into the cafe but it is well worth visiting. I probably eat lunch here twice a month on weekends and I'm never disappointed. A regular bowl of Pho and a Cafe Suda (iced coffee) will set you back about $12.

This was a short walk from the hotel and a good choice for dinner. The summer rolls were average but the beef pho was tasty. Great broth with good spices and the meat was tender. Friendly service. Kids are fine. Good prices for good portions. Nice find.
