Named for territorial governor Eli Murray, it is the state's fourteenth largest city. According to the 2010 census, Murray has approximately 46,746 residents. Once teeming with heavy industry, Murray’s industrial sector now has little trace and has been replaced by major mercantile sectors. While maintaining many of its own services, Murray has one of the lowest city tax rates in the state.

What a great dinner! There were 8 of us and Iâm sure we drove them nuts with separate checks, being indecisive, etc. The food and service were excellent. The staff made our little gathering all that much better. Extra kudos on the Tandoori Chicken and the Lamb Roganjosh!

Khan's Curry House is worth the short drive from Salt Lake. On a busy street (presently with construction work in progress), easy parking, and simply delicious food! Make sure you have naan with your meal. Straight off the oven, it's flaky and perfect to sop up the last few traces of curry sauce. On our last visit there we had a variety of chicken dishes--jalfrazee, green curry and another with a spicy red sauce. The owner is a warm and welcoming host; the cook, his wife, steps out several times to see how you are enjoying the food. Very inexpensive but worth going back to again and again
