the food was real good, and the service was great. they do get crowded around lunch and dinner which causes the service to be slow. they have a decent collection of craft beers, but they are mainly ales and ipa. very poor selection of porters and stouts.

My wife and I (and now our 1 year old son) have been coming to Slackwater for years. I don't want to feel like I'm writing reviews when I only have bad things to say, so they definitely deserve praise for always having an excellent product (this from a northeast pizza snob) and having a great vibe and ambiance - even if a bit noisy during busy times/live music - especially with the patio overlooking the river. But I've found the service to be spotty at times, with the most recent visit being so egregious that I had to write something. We stopped in mid afternoon, at which time the place was mostly empty. We were promptly seated, but then waited for 15 minutes before being acknowledged by the server. This would be bothersome on a busy night and completely unacceptable when things are quiet. This was essentially the tone for the entire visit, with everything taking forever, which unfortunately seemed unique to us. The party sitting nearby that ordered after we did was halfway through their meal before my wife even got her salad and was paying their bill by the time our food came. No explanation or apology for the long wait was ever given. Fortunately we were given drink refills before our food came, but the server once again disappeared after the food was brought out (by someone else) and didn't stop by to see if we needed anything until well after we were done eating. As anticipated, it then took another eternity to get the check, by which point our 1 year old was totally done and had been taken outside by my wife. It should be noted that the same server had another party near us which she visited at least 3 times before coming back to us. Only at this point did i get a half-hearted apology for the wait for the check because she 'had a lot of tables on the patio'. I glanced out before leaving and yeah, there were 2 parties tops out there. If 2 is considered 'a lot', I'd hate to see the dinner rush. All told, we were there for approximately 90 minutes. For a salad, stuffed sticks and one pizza. About double the length of time it usually takes us when dining out. I understand that families with children may not necessarily be Slackwater's target crowd, but if the party with the 1 year old is the one you choose to keep waiting, I think you'll find that that doesn't work out super well for anybody. I can understand longer waits when things are busy, but once again, there's no excuse when the place is dead. Granted it was a bit busier by the time we left, but it was still less than half full and that doesn't explain taking forever to be acknowledged or to get our food. Between that and feeling like we're being singled out is where the frustration comes in. I imagine it'll be awhile before we're back. We don't get the chance to come during off-peak times very much and I wouldn't even want to think about braving the dinner crowd after this experience.I am very sorry for your experience with us. We strive to give 5 star food and service. Obviously this was not the case for you. If you can email back at [email protected] I would love to hopefully make it up to you some how and I would like to know the server that was taking care of you. Again thank you for reaching out. This only makes us better. Thank you.

It's an Applebee's, so if you set your expectations to "OK" food, you'll be happy. There is good service, easy parking. This last time we at there, our hamburger was undercooked; we sent it back, and got about the same thing. The waitress was really nice, but seems like the cooks are in too much of a hurry; maybe they need extra staff back there? We also ordered a pasta with sauce on the side and it came mixed in; again, the waitress was nice but the cooks appear rushed,(or something). My wife and I both had minor stomach pains after eating there which passed by the next day; but I think it will be a while before we go there again. Doolittle's is perhaps an average place foodwise, but the airport building has really been built up and has art and displays. Also, if you're an airplane buff like me, it's fun to watch the locals to touch and goes. Both airplanes and helicopters use this airport frequently, as well as sky divers, all are fun to watch. There's some outside seating, but it's not always open. Nice atmosphere. The TVs are nice too, always good to see the news while eating, and it's fair to have it on mute like they do. We did a group lunch there with 3 choices for speed: 1. Cobb Salad 2. Philly Cheesteak Sub 3. Calzone. All were about $7-$8 and came with a drink and chips. The Cobb salad looked good, generous, fresh and lots of variety. The Cheesesteak was pretty good, that's what I had, but what looked the best and eaters were happy with was the Calzone. That might be worth going back for!If I said something helpful, let me know by giving a helpful vote please, thanks.

Located on historic 25th Street in Ogden, Pig & A Jelly Jar restaurant serves a fresh, from scratch menu with a unique twist on comfort food.
Good vibe going on here. The food wasnât perfect but decent overall. I had the Pig Burger, ordered it medium and it was well done. The fries were fresh but too greasy. Fried pickles were yummy but again greasy.. I think they have something special here and with just a little attention to the small details would turn it into an epic location.

Roughly in the center of the Ogden-Layton area, in a small valley.
A birthday gift card to Applebees is what brought us here. We must have chosen the best time to go. (2 pm) We were quickly seated, waited on, and our food was served quick. Our waitress was attentive. We loved our burgers and salad. A gift card may have brought us here, but the great food and service will bring us back.

I ate at three different Arby's in the Salt Lake area, and all of them were more impressive than I would have expected. Obviously, Arby's management is doing things right in this area. All the employees were exceptionally trained because they all exhibited pride and joy in their jobs. All facilities were spotlessly clean, and the food was served promptly. These establishments were a cut above typical fast food restaurants.

I made the gross mistake of trying it again. The only thing worse than the service was the food.To call it "putrid" would be a gross overstatement. The "mushroom sauce" was made from a singles small mushroom, the fries were underdone and the salad came with the entree instead of coming earlier.Go anywhere else.

We specialize in true barbecue and food products made fresh with made from scratch quality. We slow cook over select hardwoods and use barbecue as a foundation for center of the plate entrees, appetizers, sandwiches and salads.
We were a party of two and the wait to get in wasnât too long. The drinks came fairly quick and everything was set up to be well. The steak was not toe biggest but had great flavor and was cooked the way I wanted it. But the server Alix wasnât great at all. She didnât over a refill and she didnât offer dessert either. While I was still eating on my steak she put the check down and said âno hurryâ. Right no hurry but why are you rushing your guests? So nope Alix this is not what your guests expect on a Friday night when going out for dinner. We went elsewhere for desert and you didnât get a full tip.

This is a diner with typical American breakfast, lunch, and dinner fare. Breakfast served all day and is pretty good. They do daily specials that are good portions for a reasonable price. The service is fantastic. They also do super cheap kid's meals in the evenings. Good to take the whole family to or for a sit down, table service lunch.
