Utah Cottages | Places to Stay in Utah

Welcome to “The Greatest Snow on Earth” – Utah’s paradise for all outdoor enthusiasts! As host of the 2002 Winter Olympics, Park City knows how to entertain winter fun seekers. Snowboarders and skiers head for miles of spectacular slopes with deep fluffy powder and breathtaking mountain views. The Olympic Park provides family-friendly ski programs, rides and shows. Alta, Sundance, Snowbird and Brighton are other popular destinations for cross country and Alpine skiers. Those alluring snowy slopes turn to rolling wildflower fields in the summer. Golfing, fishing, horseback riding and water sports replace chilly outdoor sports adventures. Corral the family, pack a picnic and catch one of the ski lifts for an afternoon of hiking or mountain biking along scenic trails. Head to Salt Lake City, where Temple Square hosts millions of visitors a year. Bryce Canyon and Arches National Park are famous for surreal landscapes from horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters to unusual rock formations and hundreds of natural sandstone arches. Closer to home, wander along the quaint main streets of mountain villages to browse, shop and enjoy lunch at an outdoor café. At the end of the day, head home for an outdoor barbecue and an evening of games. Home rentals blend privacy, space and comfort with the cost-saving advantage of eating some meals at home.

Excellent stay with two kids

Reviewed By InfiniteBurrito

Really wish we could've stayed more than one night. The kids thought this was the best place we stayed during our trip (Bryce, Capitol Reef, and Escalante). The hospitality by Jan was amazing both before (answering questions) and during (answering more questions) our stay. We stayed in April 2022, and it was super super windy during our night there. We were a little worried since they're yurts, but they were sturdy. It just sounded like we were staying on a pirate ship, with the sails flapping throughout the night. The breakfast burritos and muffins were amazing, and they had really good dinner recommendations. Overall, a great experience.

Great Place

Reviewed By MelCelina

Very nice place. Clean. Each bunkhouse has full kitchen and gas grills are provided as well. Bunkhouses all surround an open courtyard that is shaded by large trees. Would make a great place for a large group to stay/family reunion etc. No hassel check in/out. Never had to go to the office. They send you the passcode for you bunkhouse door. Was very quiet but this was mid-May so vacation season had not yet started. Would definitely stay there again if in the area. Near Zion National Park. only downside is there is not restaurants that close. Have to drive to them but only 10 minutes away.

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary Cottages and Cabins

Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has become the nation's largest no-kill sanctuary for companion animals. Nestled in gorgeous Angel Canyon, it’s a sight to behold — and a place of compassion unlike anywhere else on earth. On any given day, around 1,700 dogs, cats, horses, rabbits and more call Best Friends their home-between-homes. Here, they’re given love, medical care and the chance to be adopted. Cottages: Shaded by the red cliffs of Angel Canyon, near the Best Friends Welcome Center, are eight guest cottages. Accommodating up to six people, each cottage has one bedroom containing two full-size beds, sitting room with sleeper sofa, kitchen, 3/4 bath (shower stall), and a balcony with a view of the horse pastures. Cabins: A smaller alternative to the cottages, the cabins accommodate one to two guests and are also conveniently located on Sanctuary property. Each has a studio setup with one queen-size bed, kitchenette and 3/4 bath (shower stall). RV Site: Two fully-equipped RV sites offer a spectacular view. Both are complete with 50-amp electricity, water, septic tank, 35' concrete platforms, and an unobstructed sight line for satellite TV. There are no length limitations; however, the sites are not pull-through, so you must be able to back your RV into or out of the site. These sites do not have shower or restroom facilities.

Perfect cottage in the sanctuary

Reviewed By Colleen G

The cottage was perfectly appointed, with a full kitchen stocked with necessities. The murphy bed is convenient as it doesn't take up the space. If you are bringing a pet home from the sanctuary for an overnight, the cottage comes with a doggy door and its own fenced area! Definitely recommend if you are volunteering for more than one day.

Phoenix House B&B

Simply the best

Reviewed By treatment_bound

We had three nights in the Mesa Room, and it was everything we read it would be. This B&B is super nice and super quiet. And the food is SUPER AWESOME! If you're going to Zion (either the main park to the east or Kolob Canyons to the north, or want to take a spin down to St. George), this location is ideal for your day trips. I can't imagine there's a better place anywhere else in So. Utah to stay at.

Willow Street Cottages

Our cottages, built in 2017, are a perfect overnight destination for couples, solo travelers, and small families. Walking distance to local restaurants through our mini vineyard, you will enjoy stunning views of the copper cliffs at sunset with good food, wine, and draft beer. Count stars at night on the porch and then wake up to freshly roasted whole bean coffee. The cottages are side by side in a lovely and quiet neighborhood setting. Both are accessed with a door entry code that allows a seamless check-in. Our Cottage A is ADA with a roll in shower, grab bars, and other accessible features. Cottage B is more accommodating for multiple night stays with a washer/dryer. Both cottages feature an ultra comfy, premium queen sized bed, twin sized folding bed, QLED streaming tv, microwave, mini fridge, coffee grinder and maker, and high speed WiFi. We are dog friendly upon request and with acceptance of our pet policies and a fee.

A special treat, an oasis of ‘small’ accommodations you need to try.

This is my 4th (and definitely not last) stay at Willow St. Cottages. Such a beautiful, comfortable, new/clean, welcoming oasis. Andi is so helpful (remotely) with all aspects of arranging for your stay. Her personal touch and communications are amazing! Two cottages, both super for single/couple (perhaps xtra fold out). The B cottage adds an in-unit washer/dryer. Edible goodies, grind-your-own coffee are surprise touches. Just a short walk to the best restaurant in town (according to TripAdvisor). Shop early and lock in your stay. Willow St. Cottages has become a rightfully so stay. I’ve rearranged my travels so that I can stay here!
