Beautiful place to switch off and enjoy the quiet part of Punta del Este, with all the possibilities of nightlife near by. At walking distance from La Barra and the beach, Bebek feels like a little peace of heaven with 2 wonderful and cozy hosts (Maria Gloria and Alberto), who make every effort to make yourself comfortable. The rooms are warm and very private, with a beautiful common room with kitchen to relax and enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast. 10/10

Hotel Complex located on the Atlantic coast of Rocha, in the La Pedrera spa 100 meters from El Desplayado Beach. Ideal for families, student groups, senior groups, honeymoon trips, farewells, etc. It has rooms all equipped with air conditioning, led TV, DirecTV, minibar, Wi Fi, private bathroom, maid service every day. Enclosed heated pool with lounge area, toilets and showers, changing rooms. Open pool, with solarium area, barbecue areas Park of more than 2000 meters, facing the sea, games for children, games room, lobby, cafeteria, etc. We are 5 blocks from the Principal Avenue of the Spa. There you will find restaurants, bars, pubs, food shops, supermarkets, clothing stores, craft fairs, etc. La Pedrera is located 9 km from La Paloma, on Route 15 to 27 km from Rocha capital, 120 km from Punta del Este. It is located 250 km from Montevideo by route 9 and 10. It is a Hotel built in the 50s, still maintains features of that time, with huge patios and gardens under the tall pine trees that surround it. You can enjoy the sea breeze, the views are spectacular, the attention to make you feel that you are "at home" is our mission.
If you like to go to standard hotels, like the "resort type" that the rooms, the gardens, the pools, the food, are the same, and you dont notice in what country you are, dont come here. La Pedrera Hotel is located in a beautiful beach in Uruguay, named La pedrera, it was founded when nothing existed in this town, not even the town itself, by the same family that owns it still. So you can see the pictures of the hotel in its beginnings with the actual owner as a child. The common areas, both swimming pools, one out side and an indoor temperate one, really warm, the dinning room, the game living room are great, wide spaces with beautiful views. It is located 2 blocks from the beach and about 4 blocks to the main street full of original reaturants and small stores. The breakfast has wonderful pastries and cakes, however needs to add some whole wheat bread and protein stuff. The rooms we chose, were the ones with no sea view, we chose them because they had a beautiful terrace, wood made, surrounded by pine trees and birds. The room itself was small, with old furniture, in not so good shape, the bathroom was ok but with no air extraction, the owner is working on it. We didnt care about the room because with that terrace and the common spaces we enjoy a lot the place and we just used to sleep, with a good air conditioning device. The people are extremely nice, open to what ever you need, they changed our tv set for a better one in our request. If you like the sea view, they are a little bit newer, but you will have sun in the morning, in case you like to wake up late. It was a great experience, the staff is friendly and are willing to please you in a familiar way.

This is a lovely, wonderful place, way off the beaten track. organic farm, horses, beautiful landscape, owners are former world travellers
The best part of my stay there was the delicious food, for sure, and I also loved the gentle way they treat and train the horses, the organic garden, the river on the property and the incredible views, either horse-riding or around the place. The sunsets are particularly beautiful there and the night sky is also stunning!

Excelente lugar. Definitivamente volvería a Via Verde

Stayed for 2 nights in the standard double room with shared bathroom, exactly as described and shown in pictures. Bedroom doesn’t have a window but that wasn’t really an issue for us, the bathroom was nice and had great showers. Victoria was very welcoming and friendly, something pretty much every review for this place mentions and one we can agree with. Breakfast was ok, Victoria served us freshly made coffee (very good coffee too), orange juice and brought us some toast that was served with jam along with some cereals and little biscuits that were already on the table. Unfortunately, we had to leave early for a flight on the second morning so didn't get to have breakfast then. Wi-Fi had a strong connection and had no issues with it during our stay. The place itself is located on a quiet street, only a 15 minutes walk from the city hall which is on the main avenue of the city, 18 de Julio Avenue. Another 15 minutes walk along the avenue brings you to Plaza Independencia and start of Ciudad Vieja. Pocitos Beach and the well known Montevideo sign can be reached within 15 minutes by taxi. Overall, we would recommend to anyone who is visiting Montevideo and would stay again if we returned to the city!

Notables anfitriones,Elena y Wes.
