60 Kvadrat

My wife found this restaurant when searching for somewhere for us to eat on TripAdviser. We wanted something a little different and that's exactly what we found in 60 Kvadrat. Down a narrow cobbled street this is a small restaurant where the owner almost completes every task himself. His service is spot on and the food he creates is so tasty. A small menu keeps it simple, we both tried the Beetroot salad, delicious, my wife chose Cockerel and I the Cod, both full of different tastes. The highlight was the Lemon Mousse to finish, so many different tastes coming through, probably the best sweet I've tasted and I've tasted many over the years. If you are in town give this restaurant a try, it's different, it's charming and it's great value.

Caviar

Caviar is a hidden gem in a literal sense. It is tucked away on the side of Feskarn Fisk och Skaldjur, a busy seafood stand at the Saluhallen (indoor food market) in Uppsala. I didn’t even see it until I was told to sit down, and I must my travel companion who stumbled upon it. It is a tiny seafood bar that could seat comfortably ten to twelve people. It sets perpendicularly to the seafood stand. You can watch the action at the seafood stand if you sit on the right side of the bar. It was fun to watch. Locals lined up here for seafood to go.The seafood here was the highlight. It was fresh and delicious, and the portion was rather large. Some of the items on the menu, like the cooked shrimps for you to peel, came straight from the seafood stand. Those shrimps were great – sweet, lightly salted and fresh. The smoked salmon Caesar salad was not a Caesar salad in the traditional sense, but it was a good salad. The lettuce was crunchy and flavorful. The salmon came in a thick fillet. It was smoky, but not overpowering, fatty, moist, and not too salty. Both came in a large portion, each enough to be a filling lunch for one. Everything went well with wine, which had many options by the glass.Besides the freshness and flavors of the food, I appreciate the sophistication of the presentation and professional service. It felt like we were at a bistro that served seafood rather than at an extension of a seafood stand at a market in a university town. The attention to detail was amazing. Even the butter was something to look at. It not only was creamy and delicious but also came shaped in a ribbon and sprinkled with sea salt flakes. Even though I raved about the seafood, I would have been content with the crusty bread and the butter! Please note that the bar has limited hours, more limited than the seafood stand itself. The main meal is lunch. If you plan to grab an early dinner, please make sure you check the hours before you go. We went for a late afternoon snack/early dinner on a Friday afternoon, and we didn’t have a problem getting seats.

Went there to grab pizzas. The place was very nice, good interiors. No toilet!! You have to use the public ones. Staff was nice and welcoming. Pizzas were good enough, but price was too high. Still gets 3 stars because it was nice to have pizza in a classier place for a change. Pizza with Nutella was good, and can recommend pizza Andalucia. Thanks for your feedback and review. As we are operating in Shopping mall we have great chance to use also their facilities such as customer toilets. Sorry to hear that is wasn't convenient to you.We are using only premium ingredients and making all the products after order. That is why we are a bit more expensive than average pizzerias.Hope to see you again soon in our restaurant!
