Four of us dined here for my birthday in February. Have dined here many times and this was always my favourite one in the chain. It has been about a year since I have been here and I was very disappointed.
Service was very slow and the food very bland, no spice at all. Had to hail the waitress to order desserts. My favourite Mexican flan took about 20 minutes to be delivered to our table and it was frozen. Had icicles in it.
I don't think I will be back which is not good as I really like mexican food.

What a fantastic menu for a Vegan restaurant. The food was delicious, full of flavour with great variety and value for money.
Even for a lactose intolerant individual it was great, with gluten free options also available.
The service was good, with friendly staff and prompt service.
We will certainly return to this fantastic restaurant.

We offer pizza, pasta, ribs, chicken and veal dishes, and salads, for take away, dine in and Delivery.
Pepperoni's have one of the best pizza's in Brisbane. Their bases have the right level of crisp and are very reasonably sized. I am a fan of tomato sauce's used for pizza bases, and I often judge a pizza on it's sauce. Pepperoni's have a very nice thick sauce with very good coverage. The toppings are well distributed and are applied quite liberally.
I would recommend getting takeaway, the Seating area is relatively small and the area can be quite noisy.

A 'sprint' to Westfield's Garden City , Brisbane for an early morning movie saw us looking for brunch before movie! Not having much time we sat down at the not too busy yet , Hotel Beach House near cinema.
Explained our dilemma with movie starting soon and asked for quick service if possible.
Well, our lovely eggs Benedict arrived in fast time with perfect coffees. Well priced , pleasant staff attended to our needs. Even a newspaper appeared to browse if we had time.
HBH is one of ' a cluster' of cafes near Event Cinemas, so easy to ' grab' a bite to eat in quick time if not in busy period.
3 hours free parking / bus transport if required.
Quite a large shopping centre with all usual facilities and shops to suit all customers.

Lunched with friends. Drinks were out quickly but meals took over half an hour.
I had a Reuben although they must have been running low as it was not the 'layer pon layer' of the one a nearby diner was tucking into when we arrived.
Coffee was quite good but my long black looked a bit Nescafé-ish.
Don't think I'll go again...

This place is average across the board. Never had Thai lamb shanks and I’ve been to Thailand several times. After trying them I can understand why, shanks weren’t rendered enough causing then to be rubbery and unpleasant. Papaya salad was ok but had better. Service was average, just playing by the numbers. On the positive the cocktails were delicious. Overall average, the food was edible but certainly didn’t leave the place with any sense of contentment. With the huge amount of Thai restaurants on offer in Brisbane this play definitely needs to pick up its game. Unlikely to revisit.

So we had time before a movie (9.15am) and thought we'd have a coffee. It was Ekka Wednesday and the shopping centre was quiet - as was The Palms, three other tables occupied. The manager was very friendly and attentive, but we waited a while before we could place our order - 2 coffees - and my partner decided she would like some GF toast......The toast arrived - 2 slices of slightly charred bread. That was it. We asked for butter and got a dish of butter cubes that were so hard they needed mashing with a fork. We asked for a spread - jam maybe? Nope - don't have any Nothing else was offered, like Vegemite maybe? Anyway - it wasn't a menu item so....maybe they just don't lower themselves to toast and jam. We waited for our coffees and waited and waited. Two other couples had arrived after us and they both received their drinks in timely fashion. Finally we decided after 20+ minutes that enough was enough and we left. We offered to pay for the 'toast' but were not charged. I certainly won't be going back. I'd hate to go on a busy day and, remember, being a public holiday today, there was a 15% surcharge for 'service'! We got coffees from Starbucks and went to the movie.

We have been here a few times for dinner and absolutely love it. Every time we get something different. The yum Cha is very reasonably priced. Have got a hot pot before with Fried rice with the salty fish- loved it!
The staff are so lovely and professional. Meals come out quickly and empty ones are cleared just as quick. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

fter Reading all the positive reviews we decided to try the ramen at this bright attractively decorated eatery in the Garden City shopping centre food court. We tried the red classic tonkotsu ramen and the tan-tan men. We did think that the bowls were a...MoreHi Suzie. Thank you for visiting us, and we're glad you loved the ramen noodles and restaurant look, but we're sorry the stock didn't hit the mark for you - I have let our chef know. We hope to see you again.

On calling in her for Breakfast i ordered the Zucchini Fritters and was not impressed they were dry and tasteless and the avocado mash you needed a microscope to find the bacon that was served with it was also burnt and dry the coffee was just ok as well
As for the service that was the only good thing about this cafe
