Nice place and ambient but the serving and kitchen staff are not nothing special if consider the prices. Waiter not knowing what he just served, slightly overcooked steak, small selection of open wines. It was ok but expected better.

Based on dishes thought up by the team, who have gained knowledge and skills in different parts of the world, Atelje offers progressive cooking and interesting combinations of flavours that bring the superb cuisine back to the people through its sophistic
The maître dâ convinced Dimitri that we both needed to order the 5-course menu (â¬50 x 2) and so we did. Our server was exceptionally good. She (I think her name was Marja) was a natural even though she was a student in an entirely different field. Atelje made sure that Dimitri and I had different dishes so we could taste everything. The food was beautifully presented and each dish was delicious. Marja made sure that we understood what we were eating and where it came from. She even gave us some history; it was an exceptionally fun meal. We drank 9 different wines with our meal and explained the varietal and where it came from . Even with 9 glasses of different wines, our total bill was â¬138,30âa bargain. Our first plates were (i) trout, trout roe, prosciutto cubes and pumpkin seed oil and (ii) asparagus tartar, ramson (wild garlic) oil and fresh curd. Our second plates were (i) shrimp, burnt cucumber green sauce with olive oil, and (ii) kohlrabi, white asparagus, hollandaise sauce with chicory, and (ii) cuttlefish, veal sweetbread, almonds and x.o. sauce. Our third plates were (i) sea bass, parsley root puree, smoked mussels and whey, and (ii) lamb, fennel, fava beans, tarragon oil, lamb stock. Our fourth plates were both rhubarb, chamomile ice cream and black tea gel. For dessert we both had sourdough ice cream, salted granola, coffee kombucha ice cream. We highly recommend this restaurant.

We ate here twice whilst staying at the guesthouse. Incredibly fresh, tasty and exquisitely presented. A good mix of foods on the menu, local dishes too. They are quite happy to adapt to you requirements too which I always think shows the sign of a professional kitchen. Highly recommend.

An almost forgotten restaurant with 200 years old tradition, based just few kilometres out of Ljubljana's city centre, has got refurbished cosy new looks, and under a group of young food and hospitality enthusiasts, the old restaurant Zibert has got not o
If you plan to stay here, you should know - the place ââis actually a popular restaurant with all the crowd, noise, smell and so. The rooms are located just above the restaurant and are exposed either to âtheâ restaurant terrasse or to âtheâ summer garden that hosts parties, events and concerts. Since there is no air conditioning in the room, during summer time you have to keep a window a bit open to have an air and âall âthe sounds are coming in. The room itself was clean, not maintained very well, it easily can be âspottedâ that a renovation or proper maintenance are required. Hot water is coming from a boiler placed in the bathroom, and the first night before I was going to sleep I've turned the boiler off, as it's switch is not marked in any way or looks different. Of course I had no hot water in the morning. I couldn't turn on the TV in the room, it has no the on/off button and no remote control, it's basically a touch screen âas I found later from the stuff, and you should touch the screen âsomewhere to turn it on. There is no telephone in the room, so can't just call the reception and ask about, I just gave up. There is no trash can in the room, which is kind of uncomfortable if you don't want your waste to be thrown over the room. There is no reception or stuff dedicated to the hotel. The reception itself exists as a designated corner, but no one was there any time I was passing by. All the communication is done through the bar of the restaurant, and the stuff that is working there (all of them were friendly and polite)is primary assigned to the restaurant matters. When I arrived I asked to have an iron to iron my shirts, but they did not have one, and despite the promises to bring it in, the guys from Park Žibert did not manage to get one in the following two days. And the last thing, not so important, but - I was having a lunch at the restaurant and the kitchen forget about my soup, I just didn't get it. When i asked the waitress, she sad that they probably forgot to serve it. The other meal, hamburger, was OK, nothing exciting.
