We popped in one hour before closure. Waitress went out of her way to get a table, very welcoming and was quick to get our order. We ordered our pizzas, and they came out within 10 minutes. Amazing! The pizzas are perfectly thin with a generous amount of toppings. The value, food and service are all great. Highly recommend.

Atmosphere is cosy, menu is quite extensive so you can find anything you like. They have vegetarian options too. I ate a salad with oyster mushrooms and vegetarian pizza - both were delicious. Friendly staff, good for a family meal. Renowned for its fantastic (almost completely natural) wine list (nearly everything by the glass), it also brings together the best of the best Slovenia has got to offer; it does so with originality and style. The ambient is also not too formal and the lunch offers (on weekdays) should not be missed. Weather allowing, do try to get a table outside. Having eaten at most restaurants Ljubljana should or could pride itself with, I dare say TaBar still leads the way. I have visited it on various occasions â with friends, with my girlfriend, for family gatherings, alone for lunch â and they were all special.

Last night in Ljubliana and this gorgeous restaurant in the Old Quarter did not disappoint. Superbly smooth service, excellent food, & local wines. Our waiter was happy to guide us on both food & wine matches. We enjoyed the duck confit & risotto with sea bass & fennel, but it was hard to choose, many beautiful dishes. Always busy, its a good idea to book. Lovely selection

We choose this restaurant having seen good reviews for it on TripAdvisor. We were more than happy with our choice. A menu to suit most tastes with the emphasis on Slovene dishes & wines. The food was attractively presented, perfectly cooked, and delicious. The recommended wine matched it nicely. The service was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. We will definitely return a second time during our stay here.

That made us wonder how clean the kitchen is. The service was not great. The food was ok. I had the sausage and I enjoyed it. However when you receive anything that you are unsatisfied with you MUST inform our staff so we can fix the situation immediately. Booking for lunch is a good idea - while we were there several spec arrivals were turned away. Nice clean, white interior with space for maybe 15 -20 covers.Friendly service of a daily fresh menu. The penne with white fish and truffle oil was abundant and delicious. A local beer of just 2.5«v was a suitable accompaniment.The daily dessert of homemade lemon cheesecake was light and fresh. A final coffee brought the bill to a little over â¬20. Great value.

Modern design, very nice interior, knowledgeable and high class waiting staff and very good food are main characteristics of this restaurant. Only down side is its location, away from city center, so use of taxi is recommended (unless you have a car at disposal). During the rush hour you can get stuck in a traffic jam. But since Ljubljana is a small town, this could take you away some 15-20 minutes, no more. Once you are in the restaurant, I am positively sure you will love it. Cuisine is on the modern side and very tasty. I had a fish and it was very nice.

We came here on our first night in Ljubljana, but we are planning to go back, since the pizza was really really good. Huge pizza with amazing dough, great and friendly service, we can only recommend it. We had tried the one with prosciutto and one with raw beef slices and rocket. Both were super tasty, maybe the best pizza we ever had. Value is also great, these pizzas were EUR 11 each, if I remember correctly.
