A quiet Thursday night- took at least 20 minutes to order our drinks. Not too sure where the staff were hiding, but disappointing, particularly as we had a 2 hour journey home after my meeting. I had the thai marinaded Chicken wings for starters and i have to say they were pretty good. Not something i would usually go for in a Thai. My wife had the Spicey King Prawns and enjoyed them too. Over to the mains- Probably the most underwhelming main i have ever had a Thai Restaurant. Went for the CHilli and Basil Gra Pao... I am Used to fresh flavours and delicate spices, but instead i received a bland dish wish i honestly felt i could cook (This is a bad sign if i think i can cook the dish better). My wife ordered a prawn dish and the only flavour she was getting was an overpowering ginger taste. We mentioned the poor papaya salad to the chef... no flavour, spice and very few veg. He offered to add some chilli's on top which defeats the objective. Personally, i would say look elsewhere. May have been an off night- but when i am back in Berkhamstead, i will be looking for a new Thai restaurant.Hi NabkazThank you for taking the time to give feedback on your recent visit to Giggling Squid Berko. As a company we pride ourselves on serving the best Thai food and are sorry that on this occasion we have let you down.I will speak with our chef and ensure this is not an issue going forward. I do hope you give us another chance soon.Kind regards,Wat

We had a great value Travelzoo voucher for 2 courses and a glass of fizz. The setting is idyllic, the young staff are lovely and very efficient and the food is fabulous. As we walked in I saw the Thai menu and assumed it was only available on certain nights, so was very pleased to be given this menu as well as the standard one as it was included in the deal. The curry was very pleasingly hot (maybe too much for some people but perfect for me!). A great place, and I hope to return.

Little wonder why we visited for my wife's birthday.Little wonder that the service was attentive.Little wonder that our starters were so tasty and appetising.Little wonder that our mains including Sea Bream were so tasty and devoured in silence. This is a little wonder.Enjoy

We have eaten in twice so far, and had a few take always since they opened in the High Street. The staff are really really friendly, and the service has always been very good.Every dish we have ordered has always been cooked beautifully, and if you have one with a lot of sauce as a take away, then they cover it with cling film as well as the lid, to ensure it doesn't leak.

Thai restaurant serving authentic cooked-to-order dishes. The restaurant is busy and booking is recommended. If you like street-food this is the place for you. . . CLOSED FOR SUMMER, OPEN AGAIN ON 27TH AUGUST
I've eaten gere several times over the years. The service is always unfailingly pleasant. The food is consistently good and well-cooked. Children are welcome here and it makes for a good family meal at reasonable prices. There is only one drawback: it can get very noisy with the echoing bare walls. If they could put up some noise-absorbing wall-hangings, I'd give it another star! If you like Thai food, you should try this place.

In heart of the community. This traditional ale house and unique Thai restaurant is the epitome of a great country pub. The lovely old building oozes charm and class, while attentive staff deliver a warm welcome, excellent real ales and superb Thai food.
We can in for the express lunch and really enjoyed this quaint little pub. Loads of history on the ways with photos from the early 1900s. The Thai lunch was excellent would recommend the jungle curry - nice and warm. We also ordered a pad Thai which was good. Only thing we could fault was place was quite chilly - keep your coat on but curry warmed us. If you love Thai this is the place!
