We had a family of 13 booked in for a Saturday night, including 5 kids - we were asked to pre-order during the week which wasnât a problem. We arrived at our table on the night only to be told we would have an hourâs wait even though they already had our orders. The place was packed and the majority of tables were waiting for food. When it finally came, one of the family had ordered liver, bacon sausage and mash - only he was presented with just liver and mash. When asked where the rest of the meal was, he was told that they had run out. Extra veg was ordered to go with the meal but it never turned up. The rest of the group was unimpressed with the food. The bar was the only area where there wasnât a problem and the liver and mash was taken off the bill, but we will not be back. Other reviews on here all seem to be confirming the same problems.

We had an amazing lunch here Sunday. Starting with Garlic mushrooms. A lovely roast pork dinner and a fantastic steak pie with homemade chips and gravy. Finished off with a sticky toffee pudding, delicious. All the staff were really happy and couldn't do enough for us, very helpful. We will definitely return here soon.

Went here for a meal out with my partner and toddler on a hot Sunday lunch, and I must say, despite hearing good reviews, was left very disappointed. The Sunday menu was very basic - it was about about a Sunday dinner. (Would imagine there's a totally different menu the rest of the week) - "roast of the day", "fish of the day" and vegetarian option (in this case nut roast ). Starters were "soup of the day", "chicken goujons", "breaded mushrooms", "garlic bread" or "fishcakes". Not a lot of choice. However, what we ordered was actually decent, although I've never had roast potatoes with trout before .There was a decent dessert menu, we both ordered "hot chocolate fudge cake", which, despite being tasty, was far from hot. The service was, to be honest, poor at best. Our drink order was taken quite quickly, but had to wait a good half hour before our food order was taken, and that was prompted by us.............. on 2 occasions we ordered drinks that were forgotten about and I had to go to the bar myself. In fact, most of the service was indeed prompted by us, dishes being cleared, want of ordering dessert, ordering of drinks............. Frustrating, when the place wasn't exactly busy. On the plus side, the staff were friendly and the place is family friendly. Seems quite popular for a traditional family Sunday roast away from home.

Only pub in Newborough Village, close to the beach and forest. There is a lovely large beer garden at the back of the property to relax in after a days activities. Well behaved dogs are welcome and a clean, cool, bowl of water is always available. Friendly
Doesn't look much on the outside and not very eyecatching but really lovely inside. Nice decor, spottlessly clean and dog friendly. Beer garden in back a lovely place to sit and relax with a drink. They served pub food, gammon, scampi etc. We enjooyed the food, plenty of it. Please support when in the area. Thank you for your lovely review the comment with regard to the frontage is helpful but we do try with hanging baskets and flags is it the signage? Or maybe the condition of the rendering? We are in the process of finding a company to restore the frontage as it is a spcialised job because of the age of the building.RegardsAlyson

Family friendly pub and restaurant with exceptional views of Snowdonia, serving local produce and cask ales.
Beautiful food in a wonderful, relaxed setting. As a vegetarian I'm often left disappointed by the unimaginative dishes on offer - not here! Every course was well thought out, with balanced delicate flavours. Could not fault the service-seamless. Will definitely be back with friends. Well done on your achievements so far, what a great team you have!
