Fabulous menu, multilingual staff, (including Welsh), great music and friendly, helpful staff. A fabulous addition to the Barry restaurant scene. Can't wait to come back.

Stayed in Pontyclun for business recently and found La Trattoria when venturing out for dinner in the local village. The atmosphere was quiet but nice (it was a Monday night). The food was freshly prepared and all courses were served promptly. All courses enjoyed by the party were delicious and presented well. The service was very professional throughout. If I had one criticism it would be that our waiter wasnât the friendliest but he was still very professional.I would definitely recommend eating here and will return if I am in the area again.

We went for a works do last night. It was booked at short notice for 17 people and I am so glad we went here. The food was delicious with good portions and the service was excellent. The attention to detail was great, our menu choices which we had placed in advance were double checked when we arrived to prevent any mix ups. The food was all served together with no delays. It was well presented and cooked to perfection. The house wine was lovely too. Great atmosphere, great food and service, great value what more could you want. Hello Miss Ceri and thanks very much for taking your time and writing some feedbacks. We are glad you all have enjoyed your experience with us and we hope to see you againRegards Team Zia Nina

The food here is absolutely stunning and good value for money! The presentation is a little annoying as each dish comes out on a small plate and thereâs not much room on the table for anything to move. Quick service and good drinks too. The chicken and chorizo skewers are amazing! I would defo return.

A small family run restaurant in the heart of the historic coastal town of Llantwit Major in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan. Serving an a la carte menu of homemade, fresh, seasonal dishes from local produce.
A damp Thursday evening when everyone else had decided to stay home was not the ideal occasion to sample the Cwtch on our nostalgic trip to Llantwit. Having the young waitress all to ourselves meant instant service but maybe too much attention and the former cafe ambience was all-too-obvious when empty of people. The food is fine: a decent cheese souffle and an unexceptional French Onion soup. The fish cake may not have been homemade either, ditto my risotto which was overcooked, a cardinal sin in Italy. The panfried Sea Bass was, however excellent. The short pudding menu did not tempt us and neither did the wine list, with only two available by the glass. The smiling chef George beamed at us all evening and chatted amiably.Hi Gerry, Many thanks for your review. We have just recently started opening Thursdays so it will take time for it to build up (we only opened a year ago). Unfortunately you came the day before our new wine list was launched - where there are now a wide variety of grapes to choose from (by the glass and bottle). As you will see from our visit, we are only an 8 seater restaurant and although it does get very busy on the weekends... the menu and drinks lists may not be that of a restaurant that has 20 + tables that you may be more used to. I can assure you that (as you can see from our open kitchen) that all of our dishes are homemade and cooked A'la carte ... so there is no cheating of microwave dishes here I can assure you ;-)

Lunch for three here on a Saturday, when all tables were taken, was great sucess. The whitebait starter was almost a meal in itself, and the sea bass beautifully served, crisp skin up, on a bed of potatoes and vegetables which complemented the fish exquisitely. We had hardly any room for dessert, but two of us managed a pannacotta between us, delicious. Despite being extremely busy, service was prompt, and our hosts so charming we felt we were saying goodbye to old friends. They are at the top of their game. The one problem is finding somewhere nearby to park.

We were meeting for our 30th nursing renunion, and had travelled from Australia, wales and Ireland. We had looked forward to this for months. We had booked for 7 and at the last minute another colleague was able to attend. We asked the be? manager/owner if we could have another place setting and chair and apologized that we didn't get to inform them of the change prior to our arrival. The person in charge/manager proceeded to lecture the entire table how important it was that we make the correct booking which made everyone uncomfortable and proceeded to come back a further 2 times to highlighted the fact that we had not booked the correct number. On leaving the manager asked us if we had enjoyed our meal and proceeded to lecture the two members of the group who had not been there for the original issue which arose on arrival, re importance of booking the correct number. These members of the group were entirely at a loss as to what he was referring to. It was 1 extra person,1 extra place setting...no extra table and we were all upset leaving. The waiting staff were attentive and the food was good.Perhaps a greater emphasis needs to be placed on customer experience and less on exercising authority and making customers repeatedly uncomfortable We spent 250 pounds.
