âAtithi Devo Bhavaâ an old Indian phrase whice translates to âguest is equivalent to god.â Hospitality has always been a part of Indian culture. At Live Dosa we have always welcomed our guests as part of our little family. We have always believed hospital
I have been a regular customer for the past 3 years. We have been several times with friends and family. Absolutely delicious aromatic original dishes from Kerala served with love. Fazila manages the front of the house while Aji her husband and the chef churns out these authentic dishes youâd never have tasted before. Not your regular curry house stuff. You will be totally blown away. I always look forward to my Live Dosa trips eagerly. Give it a try and you will wonder why have you waited this long.

Went with my husband and friends on a Saturday evening, really busy, poppadoms and dips were lovely, so was all the food, large portions, especially veg, but then it'was more expensive then the indian restaurants around grays, which is where I live, the staff were efficent, my only gripe is no complimentary drinks at end of meal, all indian restaurants, around my area always offer a complimentary drink, but we did enquire in ithe rose of india, to be told, that, they were busy, so why would we give away free drinks, well a thank you to the customer would be nice, and a free drink, would just fit that bill maybe not recommend this place, or visit again, in the future, a free drink, makes all the difference

We went this evening to celebrate my dadâs birthday. You couldnât fault either the food or service, both amazing!! As it was my dadâs birthday they gave him a free dessert and a gift. As well as a free liquor for all five of us. Lovely staff, gorgeous food and reasonably priced. Highly recommended! Definitely will be returning.

Itâs never good when you spend £40 and think- âIt would have been better and cheaper making the curry myself!â Terrible service! Called to place an order and was told delivery was over an hour wait, however collection was just 30min. I drove to collect the food, arriving 35 minutes after ordering...I was then left waiting another 35 minutes until I finally received the food. Every time I asked how long till the food was ready I was just told âin a minuteâ. Very frustrating when I could see all the staff in the kitchen window standing around talking and doing nothing. Once I finally got my food, I wish I could say I enjoyed it, however the chicken was chewy, dry and fatty and the rice was cold and just tasted of onion, which is disappointing when i ordered it to be coconut. I do NOT recommend.

Now this was a pleasant surprise. A high-end Indian restaurant, not in Central London but in the pretty village of Writtle, in Essex. Been crying out for a place like this for years. It not only looks good but the food delivers. Top quality - the prawn starters and mains of lamb gosht and saag aloo were all delicious. Loved the chocolate samosas for dessert. I would say price was still very reasonable, despite it being a fine-dining establishment. Service was friendly. Also had the pleasure of chatting to the co-owners.A couple of minor quibbles. When I booked did mention it was our wedding anniversary. Would have been a nice gesture if it was acknowledged in some way (e.g. a couple of complimentary cocktails, maybe?). Also, when the menus were given to us one of the pages had dried bits of food on it so I had to ask for another. In my opinion, many local Indian restaurants let their standards slip pretty quickly. I really hope Pakwaan maintains it's quality, as it's definitely one of the best Indian meals I've had.Give it a go. We will certainly return. Already recommended it to friends and family.

We live in Gidea Park and often meet friends for dinner in London (where we all work), but for a change, we thought we'd meet locally. Our friends came in from Billericay, three stops on the train to Shenfield from us - absolutely perfect! After a quick drink next door, we walked into Empire. A lovely welcome, relaxed before being jumped on for quick service, enjoyed our poppadoms and a drink and then we ordered! My girlfriend and I ordered chicken tickka and salmon tikka starters for our main cours, but with loads of veggie dishes; sag paneer, onion bhajee, sag aloo, cauliflower bhajee, coconut rice (which wasn't on the menu, but they accommodated us) - all were absolutely delicious with plenty to go around, which our husbands were delighted about. The men ordered chicken shaslick and chicken tikka massala with breads - lovely and fresh and, suffice it to say, not a morsel remaining on our plates! Good house wine (we didn't think we'd drink a whole bottle - how silly of us!), and to finish off, a complimentary drink for us all. Great service, super staff, scrumptious food ................... no more getting the last train home from Liverpool Street for us - Shenfield was ideal and very much looking forward to our next visit - thank you very much.

Jehan Curry Hut in Brentwood is serving up the finest Indian and Nepalese cuisine you could think of, all in a fun yet sophisticated atmosphere. If youâre looking for a new spot to eat next curry night, then head on down to South Street in the town centre
Our food here was excellent and made freshly but quickly. It was a Wednesday night and so pretty empty but there was little atmosphere which is a shame but can be worked on as the food is worth 5/5. Thanks for the awesome review, Nicki! We work hard to meet expectations like yours, and weâre happy to hear that you enjoyed your meal, Wednesday is middle of the week therefore it's not that busy night for us but please visit us on weekends we hope you will see the beautiful atmosphere at jehan curry hut. Looking forward to see you soon. Management.

I always get a Takeaway from Nirvana as it is my local Indian restaurant. Itâs relatively well priced, slightly expensive but Iâm willing to pay the extra as the quality is normally great. Occasionally, the food can be a bit hit and miss but the majority of the time I havenât been disappointed. Inside the restaurant there is a lot of space and staff seem to be friendly. Iâd recommend the balti dishes.
