The Queen's Head was built in the mid 18th century and has been both a coach house and courthouse (complete with its own gallows) before becoming a pub many years ago. Step inside and the character of the building is felt in the cosiness of the snugs, the
This has been my favourite place in Weybridge for many years but today the staff let the place down badly . Sat in the bar having a drink at 6pm but tables full of glasses and empty plates . Gave the staff the opportunity to clear the tables but after half an hour asked a bar man who was busy chatting to a colleague about a night out if he could clear the tables he asked me which table I was sitting at . I explained there were at least six tables which needing clearing. He replied yep mate !! He then went round picking up glasses but left the empty plates napkins and pieces of string and did not wipe any of the tables. Now people are arriving for evening service and moving the detritus themselves. With new competition coming into Weybridge the Queens Head will suffer unless there are standards that the team feel are their responsibility to deliver. P. S Now after an hour and half of looking at empty lunch plates have decided not to stay for dinner Hi MichaelV8163UOThank you for your review and pictures.I would like to apologise for the experience you had in the bar last night, as you are aware it is not up to the high standard that we pride ourselves on.I am somewhat gobsmacked about the time you suggest the plates were left on the tables for as aside from the bartenders who are attentive and aware, the managers also zone the bar and clear, serve, whatever is necessary.... Whilst we were busy last night, this is no excuse.I will reiterate to everyone today the importance of doing what we normally do (which includes swiftly clearing and cleaning tables), so please accept my apologies for this "one off".We are very aware of the new competition soon to join us in Weybridge, and we look forward to welcoming them to the area, we are of course dedicated to continue to operate to the high standards that our guests have become accustomed to.I do sincerely hope that this will not prevent you from coming to our pub in the near future.I would be keen to talk to you directly, so please contact me on [email protected] so I can discuss your evening with you personally. Many thanksHarriet WalkerGeneral Manager

Our eclectic menu, striking a delicious balance of traditional and modern flavours, offers a wealth of choice throughout the day. Choose from a classic steak and ale pie, made with prize-winning London Pride, or opt for world cuisine in the form of spiced

Four of us ate as a celebration meal. The choices were fantastic, the food quality good. The wine list seemed expensive. £33 for a bottle of Picpoul that normally sells for £24/£25 in all other similar places we eat/drink.The service was a little slow considering the restaurant was on 50% full otherwise I'd give it 5 stars. Secondly, I tried to call directly to book in case the venue had to pay for OpenTable linked bookings (trying to be considerate!) but their phone line was continually busy for the 20 mins I tried.Certainly worth trying again.

The Fox & Hounds is an eligant, yet relaxed & atmospheric Pub/Restaurant with its picturesque surroundings, including boasting Windsor Great Park right on its doorstep. We have every setting you could possibly desire. The remote setting of our front garden
We stopped for a leisurely lunch while taking a long walk around Windsor Great Park and the surrounding area. The pub has bar and restaurant areas inside, but on a sunny July day it was a pleasure to sit in the garden area in front. It is very relaxing (although the furniture could be a bit more up to date and comfortable), and they even cater for horses! They have some nice summer drinks like Pimm's and Aperol Spritz. We followed this with a lovely bottle of Provencal rosé from the limited but quite agreeable wine list. I think the food menu for the restaurant is more comprehensive than the bar menu which is also used for food served in the garden. We did find some light and summery dishes: a Greek salad and a mezze platter. There was a bit of a wait as the pub was busy even mid week - it is very popular with locals although it is a bit isolated. My Greek salad was a nice plate of fresh garden vegetables with a large slab of marinated feta, but the dressing was a bit characterless. My friend's dish consisted of hummus, dolmades, olives, feta and tzatziki served with pita and a some salad leaves. Perfect for lunch on a warm summer's day!Service was by a couple of different people and also from the bar. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Prices are slightly on the high side for a country pub, but still acceptable.

Built around 1480, The Thatched Tavern was originally a farmhouse with a croft (a small farm). There was also a Blacksmiths forge at the back of the building where the kitchen hatch is now, and a wood store at the end of the bar.During the reign of Queen

More than a gastro pub, the food was amazing, beautiful ingredients lovingly prepared & cooked. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and obviously passionate about the food & wine she was serving. All of it was delicious but the deer was stunning and loved the Bon Bon we were given when we had our pre dinner drinks

Overlooking the beautiful green, we have sympathetically restored the gorgeous historic inn to create a warm, welcoming pub and brasserie. With plenty of nooks and crannies for leisurely lunches, family gatherings and quiet post-work pints with friends an
My girlfriend and I dined here last night for the second time. The menu is very varied and that little bit different from most restaurants. The service was prompt efficient and very friendly and the food excellent. Our experience was hugely enhanced by our charming and witty waiter , 'the man with the moustache' ( you know who you are!) who turned a routine dining experience into a memorable one. We shall be back!Thank you so much for this fab review! I'll pass your comments onto the 'charming' Clive. Kind regards,Sophie
