Welcome to PipTree, serving coffee and homemade bakes & cakes in a stylish 50-seater cafe, located in the heart of Collyers Nurseries in the village of Borrowash.
Been here before and visited today Sunday 20th Oct 2019.Was very busy, managed to get last seat inside. Coffees and toast arrived quickly and was niceStill feel that breakfasts and toast is expensive compared with other places like No 58 on Long Eaton. Also amount of food on brekky is not as good also.Having said this it is very popular

We often meet up here for either a chat and look around or before going on a ride out. Great breakfast cobs and a good selection of cafe style food. Complemented with free tea or coffee. All served by Helen, lovely helpful and friendly lady. Worth a 45 minute ride just to have a bacon cob.

Set beside the Erewash canal with views over the River Trent and River Soar, theTea Room specialises in good old fashioned cooking. The house dates from 1794 and features many items relating to the canals and local life - almost a museum there is so much t
The Lock House tea rooms are delightful. They serve good home made food and the staff are friendly and helpful. Tables are laid with proper tablecloths and tea is served in china cups! The tea rooms are a mini museum of canal/boating memorabilia along with old toys, tools, wartime items etc. It is fascinating spotting things and stirring memories of a bygone era. We had a lovely lunch there and will definitely return.

Fintons Cafe & Bakehouse serve great coffee, loose leaf tea, lovely breakfasts, delicious lunches and tempting homemade cakes, traybakes and scones. Gluten free a specialty. Free wifi and parking. Closed Sundays. New Summer Hours now in operation.
Went in for a late breakfast and was pretty full (always a good sign). Full breakfast which was well cooked and fresh. Lovely coffee.
We called in for a quick coffee, on a break in our journey, and found the place to be surprisingly different from the run of the mill road side café.The staff were cheerful and welcoming, the premises looked very clean and well kept, pleasant surroundings, with the odd novelty touch here and there, and an extremely varied menu that is very reasonable priced. The back ground music can't be faulted.

Attended a meeting in Draycott and we took over the whole place at lunch. The place itself was very quirky and the staff very friendly and courteous. The food was very well presented, tasty and plenty of it!! Seconds if required. It was a very relaxed and comfortable experience and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Dropped in to buy food & drink lunch items to take away. The food was good however the attitude of the staff certainly left a lot to be desired! No pleasantries or smile when taking the order. I ordered 2 large Americanos. Whilst the person was preparing the drinks I tried unsuccessfully to attract her attention or in fact any other member of the team who were all busy preparing food, to request hot milk in the coffee. When the drinks were placed on the counter they looked like small cups, I asked if they were large & was told they had run out of lids for large cups !! No dialogue about this no apology or would small be ok? Just a bad attitude of â this is what youâre getting â.I said I had wanted hot milk in the cup but couldnât attract her attention, again her attitude was very dismissive stating â well Iâve already put cold milk in nowâ Absolutely appalling attitude, I read another review of â service with a smileâ & wondering if that person was being ironic! I will not be going there again!

We are a family run Cafe serving freshly ground coffees made with a Barrister machine - our coffee is provided by a local Italian family and is very popular. Cosy and family friendly. We serve a variety of food, including breakfasts, brunch (Eggs Benedict
Met a friend here for brunch and wasn't disappointed. My friend had eggs Benedict and I had the big full Oliver's breakfast. There wasn't any black pudding but I was offered and extra rasher, banger or egg as an alternative.Everything was lovely and cooked well. Really enjoyed the food and the catch up. I will be back.Great to hear you enjoyed your visit to Oliverâs, thanks for taking the time to leave a review!
