We had heard that The Saxon have a Carvery of a Sunday and also a jam session for musicians. The Carvery was good, well cooked tasty food with a choice of beef, pork and Turkey. Plenty of vegetables and roast and/or boiled potatoes. We were a party of three and we had bread and butter pudding, and apple crumble for dessert. Again, good well cooked and ample portions. The jam musicians consisted of electric as well as bass guitarists, a fiddle player and several singers.Good standard.A very enjoyable afternoon. We were welcomed at the pub, and we had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon. We will return.....

It's a local institution I am told. The interior is 1980's retro without the chic - think more Maestro less Audi Quattro. The food is standard chippy fare. When we arrived Saturday afternoon just before 14:00 the place was empty. The fish was alright. The chips felt like a re-heat. Probably best to go when there are more patrons for yummier food. The staff was friendly and attentive. Not bad, not good but somewhere in between .. a Montego maybe.

Great british pub with a friendly lively staff .. a pint of Carlsberg Danish Beer goes nicely with their Cheesy Garlic Bread. Lots tables available inside and outside seating. Main meal ordered their tuna sandwich came with tortilla chips and tomato, cucumber, lettuce. No waiting at 3pm Thursday for a table ! Cheers :-)

I enjoyed the chunky chips. I came here a about 3 times. Twice for food and once for drinks. The first time I came here I had a burger. The burger was average. The second time I came here I remember 3 of us wanting steaks but they only had a 2. I was one of the lucky...ones who had the steak, which was average but was rescued by some nice chips. When I came here for drinks I asked the waitress to tell me the specials and she told me to read the board myself. I'm not in the service industry but I'm pretty sure that isn't actual service. Most of the people who come seemed like out-of-towners. I could tell this from the number of fingers on their hands and use of actual words.I may come here again but I won't have my hopes up for fine dining.

Passing through Brandon and having missed lunch, we stopped at this cafe. What a massive amount of choice on the menu! We opted for the all day Mega Breakfast and the Corned Beef, Egg and Chips (with Baked Beans as an extra). The food was produced really quickly, freshly cooked and piping hot, in very large portions. Drinks were ice cold and the price was unbelievably cheap. We can't believe that anyone could go to this cafe and not find something to their liking - the range of options is vast. Highly recommended.

A few minutes from Brandon,Lakenheath and Mildenhall...we have a menu to suit everyone. We serve kids meals and sizzler dishes ,steaks and sandwiches to name but a few.All our food is cooked fresh to order and served with a smile. We're a friendly local wit
Visited for dinner and ordered the ale pie with seasonal vegetables and garlic bread which appeared to have been very lightly âtoastedâ on one side and microwaved on the other side. The meal although very large appeared to have been reheated and microwaved. The cabbage and beans were overcooked and tasteless. The service was ok but would not go back.

After leaving it a bit late I called Mr G's hoping they could fit our works party in (nine of us), we arranged eating followed by bowling. On the night the staff were fantastic, we found out table decked out with Christmas crackers and decoration, all the food arrived together, the food was great and all of us from 16 to 60 had a great time bowling! It was a perfect way to entertain a broad age range for the evening, will definitely be back.

It is sometimes about the people and the staff at this lovely tea room do make a difference they are very friendly and welcoming. The food offered is a delight and offers some beautifully made and fresh options including gluten free.Excellent value as well. Everything is centred on the customer and during each of our recent visits it has been a pleasure. Long may these local and independent options remain on our High Streets.
