While out taking a walk to Poynton Marie and I were close to the Cofano Caffe and as it was close to lunch time we decided to have a coffee and something to eat. Marie add a salad and I had soup. Both were tasty and freshly made.

First visit this week. There were seven of us eating with Groupon Discount vouchers - £12.50 for two courses and a glass of wine! Pretty much a winner from the start. We could chose anything off the menu - starters up to £6.50 and main up to £13.95. I had mushroom risotto for starter. Excellent flavour. Didn't even need Parmesan or pepper. Huge portion for a starter so had to leave some so I could eat the main course. I had chicken in French mustard, brandy and cream. Delicious! Tender chicken, heaps of tasty sauce and beautifully cooked potatoes and carrots. Couldn't manage a dessert. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back.

Called in on a Sunday morning for a coffee while walking our pup. The seats outside provide a perfect opportunity to people watch whilst enjoying a lovely cappuccino. Great friendly service

La Dolce Vita Restaurant Marple
We frequent this restaurant quite often, but we had not been for a while and decided to come for lunch. The restaurant has recently been refurbished and has seemed to employ new staff (which unfortunately are not as good as the other staff members). However the food is still good value and the prices are reasonable.

Called in on a Saturday Lunchtime whilst visiting the Village on Family Business. Staff were welcoming, and of a very amenable disposition. No difficulty in choosing a table in the General Bar area. Wide selection of choices on the Menu. On this occasion we both had a Main Course only. My Wife chose a Filet Steak with a Peppercorn Sauce served separately in a small jug. My Wife doesn't normally choose the Filet Steak, however this turned out to be an inspired choice, she was delighted with it saying it was the best Filet she had enjoyed for a number of years! Despite coveting my Wife's Steak I thoroughly enjoyed the my Steak Pie, Mash, Mushy Peas and Gravy. The food arrived promptly, was served hot and very well presented. No complaints there! Good range of Alcoholic and Soft DrinksPub has a relaxed and friendly ambiance, and is was very clean. Excellent experience to thoroughly enjoy some quality time with my Wife! Will call in again next time we are in Poynton, there are some other dishes on that Menu we would like to try.thank you so much for your kind comments, you must come back to the village more oftenmartin

Welcome to Sasso Restaurant in Disley!Sasso Restaurant offers the finest Italian cuisine in a relaxing homely atmosphere, combined with impeccable service, providing you with an intimate and personal experience. Come and visit us!
We are fairly regular visitors to Sasso and it is a great Italian however we visited last night having not been since January to find the prices on the menu have significantly increased, particularly for wine. The cheapest bottle is £24 and itâs really not great! They have also removed some of the best items from the food menu or changed whatâs in some of the dishes. They now add 10% service charge to your bill as standard too. We were a little disappointed and I canât see weâll be visiting as regularly as we used to. Shame.
