Having visited a few weeks ago for breakfast (which was lovely) decided to try the sunday dinner! There was alot of choice, meat wise & veg wise! A chicken breast wrapped in bacon?! Winner! In most places iv visited you get a slice of meat, which doesnt go very far! NOT here however! Yorkies, roasties, boiles potatoes, mash, peas, carrots, cabbage, greenbeans - so much choice! The gravey was great!! A nice tasty dinner which on a sunday, is what you want! It works on a help yourself basis - which i prefer as you can chose what you actually want and how much you want, not be given whats on for that day! I much prefer this way! Clean and tidy and lovely staff! One of my favourite sunday dinners around the area!

Iâve now eaten here several times. It is a small cafe with plastic table cloths that is slowly expanding into the wider market to cater for the expanding clientele. Today it was particularly busy and I was lucky to get a table. The staff, a mix of local and Thai are always friendly and eager to help. They serve breakfast and main meals from 0730 till late afternoon, 1630-1700. I have yet to try their British food but plenty of people do and their plates are cleared. I always eat from the Thai menu. The food is spicy (of course) and very tasty. I am slowly working my way through the menu. The menu gives a guide to spiciness although there can be some surprises. Helpings are generous with a choice of large or small helpings. They also do takeaways - Taste of Thailand.

It is with regret I write this as I have been going to this café for a number of years and think the current price increases over the last year are extortionate where the food does not reflect on these prices. There has never been any signs or notices put up to advise customers of the increase in prices, just told that one of the increases was to cover the cost of the increase in daily living allowance. A bacon sandwich was £2 now increased to £2.70, a small hot chocolate was charged at £3.70 only last weekend! We are very often charged different prices for toast £1.50 for 2 pieces one day and £1.20 the next, paninis and jacket potatos also vary in prices from one day to the next.. It seems to be the same price for eating in as eating out too where every other establishment in Bridgend charge more for eating in than taking out. I feel that the prices should be reviewed as customers will start to go elsewhere as I will be. It is a shame as the staff are usually friendly and the food is 80% of the time very nice. I understand that there will be price increases but to do it 3 times in the last year is just ridiculous.

We popped in here whilst we were in Bridgend shopping, first impressions, welcoming, staff really friendly, toilet facility clean, Good selection of food on offer. We had sandwiches, with chips,(a large portion arrived) which were very fresh, and my other half had a cheesecake, which he totally devoured so I take it he enjoyed it!It was busy during our visit, and tables were cleared quick, for the next people. will visit here again when next in bridgend.

Whether itâs a breakfast, snack or home cooked special we want you to enjoy each mouthful! Upstairs @ Thunder Road in Bridgend is a cafe that is modern and is a big hit with local bikers, but donât worry if you donât ride as the cafe is open to everyone.
Went for brunch yesterday to have mould on my toast, chips were like rubber, egg not cooked properly I did complain and asked for a refund, I have spent the last 18hr vomiting itâs not the same as it used to be, even the girl on the till went to the freezer took out some food in bare hands took it to the cook, straight back to the tills not washing her hands once especially after handing money! Thereâs a lot of poor hygiene happening at thunder road so be careful when youâre eating there I myself would never set foot in there again,I am ever so sorry to read this review, this isn't usually the standard we practice, as you can see the majority of our reviews are 'excellent-very good'. We will make sure all staff adhere to food hygiene protocol, and again we apologise for this profusely.

Excellent Coffee Shop Plus+ Has great menu of salads, as well as some authentic speciality Jamaican Dishes! We visited the Bauhaus last week and enjoyed an excellent meal and wanted to write a review!
super friendly Husband and Wife team. Always home cooked food. Seating area outside both entrances. Ample room to accomodate wheel chairs and buggies. Ignore the star rating. Ive been going there for years and have no complaints. The toiltes are upstairs, but ground floor toilets are across the road in the bus station.
