Here at Shapla Balti cuisine we offer you a wide range of delicious traditional and new dishes to suit every palate. We are the region's authentic Punjabi, Kashmiri, Indian and Bengali specialist restaurant and we are fully licenced with air conditioning.
Decided on the off chance to pop in and order a takeaway. The staff were so welcoming. Shook my hand, offered me a seat. I explained I wanted a takeaway menu which they provided. The restaurant was thriving. They provided chocolates while I looked at the menu. It's very extensive but they also offer to try and cook you from fresh if what you want isn't there. All the food is prepared freshly.I'm not a hot food fan as I have a low tolerance but they helped me choose what would work and I selected a range of food. Cost was very reasonable for two people. When it arrived the bag was quite heavy! They were very friendly as they explained what I had in the bag.The food.... Was superb. i can honestly say excellent value for money. Cooked to perfection and piping hot. They also deliver it seems. Absolutely worth a visit. Cooked from fresh took almost 25 minutes but worth every minute. Best takeaway I've had for years. It's an Indian Restaurant with food from several districts and countries.

So, having visited all the Indians in the area, I think Iâm in a good place to say this one was best.Add to this the fact that I bumped into an old friend while waiting for my order, only to find they drive 20miles to come here, as they too think itâs worth the trip! Says an awful lot!Food delicious and freshly prepared, Kitchen is open to the customers view, which I think is genius, and itâs spotless. Itâs very much the best in the area! A solid 10/10

We ordered take away from this Indian restaurant and the food was lovely. There is a restaurant as well if you prefer to eat in. The service was fast and efficient, the food was great so based on this experience I would certainly use them again.

Montana has deservedly won quite a few awards for the quality of the food they prepare. We have been here quite a few times, both to eat in, and for take out, bit it has been a little while since we last ate in. I am pleased to say that this restaurant remains one of my favourite Indian/Kashmiri restaurants. The standard of food here surpasses any other similar restaurant any where, in my opinion. The menu is varied, with a wide selection of dishes based on the regions of the northern part of the subcontinent, and there is a good choice for the vegetarians amongst us. The staff will tell you that any dish on the menu can be prepared as a vegetarian option, which means that veggies have the same varied choice as the carnivores! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, will take the time to explain the dishes, and are very attentive. This time we went for the banquet night, which at £14.95 per person for 2 courses, is excellent value. Starting with poppadoms and pickles, followed by onion bhaji (the best bhaji on the planet!), and a nice hot curry. The spices are not over done as you find in many Indian restaurants. The dishes are spiced much more as you would find locally in India or Bangladesh or Pakistan, with a nice great, but full of flavour. If you have not yet tried Nibana, I thoroughly recommend you do.

Thariks is a beautiful Indian restaurant situated at the top of West Street in Tavistock, Devon. With a wide selection of Indian dishes available to suit both the timid and the very brave taste buds.If you are looking for a relaxed setting to sit down and
I popped in on a Monday evening on a whim, I have just moved to Tavistock. The restaurant was clean, airy, bright and welcoming. The service was prompt, courteous and unobtrusive. The food was quick, hot, filling, beautifully presented, and exactly what I wanted. I asked for extra fresh chillies (large pieces) in my jalfrezi, and that is precisely what I received. The brinjal bhaji was lovely. The beer was cold, refreshing & lovely. This restaurant was precisely what I wanted, and was good value. It's more expensive than Wetherspoons just down the road, but is classier, better, quieter, brighter, and lovelier.Go on, treat yourself. You won't regret it.

Has the owner/chef changed? We have been getting take-always from here for 15 years but the last 2 have not been good: chewy chicken, not the melt-in-the-mouth chicken weâve been used to. The curry we had on Saturday night was just awful - oil was literally dripping all over the bag and all containers were sodden with oil. We had a Phall and a Vindaloo but the sauces were the same; just one with chicken and the other prawns. Chicken saag was oily and tasteless. Even the pilau rice was oily. We will not be going back for a third time this year - needs improvement quickly or business will fall away as we are used to better here!
