This is a great place for husbands and wives as the husbands can eat and drink coffee etc while their wives shop for beautiful clothes! The extended cafe/restaurant is a big improvement. They have a breakfast menu, light lunch menu and sandwiches. Alcoholic drinks also served.
Our first visit here a few days ago and what a treat. None of the pretentiousness associated with many places to eat these days. Good wholesome food, from a fry up to lasagne and home made curry. Lovely staff. We will definitely visit again when in town.

I was meeting a friend just as the cafe opened. As my friend ordered a blueberry scone and jam with her coffee I was torn. I had eaten breakfast. I gave in and chose a plain scone and jam. Itcame hot out of the oven. Fluffy in the middle and crispy outside! Some one ordered a full breakfast and we could smell it cooking, might come back for one of those. The view from the cafe is across the lovely Clwydian range.

This cafe on St. Peter's Square in Ruthin is a no frills eatery which offers fresh-made, tasty, sandwiches, and drinks at a very reasonable price. Just as good as you would get at the chain coffee stores but with a wider choice of food. Nice to sit and look out at the everyday life going on around the picturesque heart of this ancient market town.

Even down to the 12bar groove of status quo playing on a stereo somewhere in the kitchen, Doof ... (food spelt backwards) is the epitome of a cafe by bikers for bikers. Its also frequented by truckers, walkers, and all visitors to Ruthin. The food is hot, hearty, fresh, reasonably priced and always served with a smile. Granted... the place looks worn but it is always clean, warm and thereâs plenty of room, and tables outside in the nice weather. Parking is available and wheelchair access needs getting over a small step. Pros : Good solid food to keep you full. Cons : none really.

A good value local cafe, visited while at nearby craft centre. Good, tasty local food served promptly and without fuss. A varied menu and we chose from a specials board and the lambs liver and onions was excellent.Well worth a visit and take advantage of the free car parking.

Lovely independent local friendly cafe dogs welcome. We are in ruthin on Upper Clwyd Street in the pretty historic town of Ruthin
Stopped off in Ruthin on way home from camping trip. Found this lovely place - great food, great staff. Granddaughter banged head badly and without us asking Gail brought over an ice pack, to put on bump. Also, noticed another customer asking what a particular baguette filling was like and she was promptly brought a bit to taste. You don't get that happening in chain's. Always eat in independent places, especially Gail's if you're in RuthinThank you for your kind review, Gail's Cafe
