Bella Italia have over 100 Italian restaurants across the UK serving pizza, pasta, Italian classics and more, made with ingredients from Italian-family producers.
Popped in here today for Lunch, it was my partners birthday. Firstly we are shown to a booth and upon my partners request to move (as we were almost on top of two other parties), the waitress agreed but then told us we only had a choice of 3 other tables that we could move to in a practically deserted restaurant. The attitude of said staff member kind of set the town. Whilst not impolite, she was quite cold, almost aggressive. I was unimpressed. The menu was ok. Fair choice, I suppose and also for vegetarians. As Iâm feeling unwell I opted for a simple margarita pizza which & my partner ordered a mushroom pasta dish. The food came out quickly and simply by looking at it - my pizza in particular - I was immediately disappointed. It was basically cheap tomato purée spread n some very tough and thin dough with cheese. No attempt had been made to enhance it, some rocket or basil maybe? I was angry that this chain would expect people to pay £9 for this? My partners meal was as he described âwatery mushroom soup with pastaâ, but he ate his (£12!) reluctantly but I spoke to a (different) waitress to address this issue with my meal. The waitress asked if I would like a different meal, I declined having seen the poor quality of the food. The original waitress then butted quite rudely into the conversation and said with a sigh that we wouldnât be charged for the pizza. It was a shallow gesture because I would have refused to pay for it anyway, but it was executed with such bad grace. A very unpleasant experience completely and if it hadnât been my partners choice of venue in his birthday, I wouldnât have eaten there upon so many bad reviews from friends and family. I shanât again. Just no effort made at all and made to feel very uncomfortable by the waitress. I couldnât wait to leave.

Visited on a Friday just after 6. Restaurant virtually empty. Given standard menus, had to ask for the Set Menu, and waiter seemed irritated that we wanted them. Starters were chicken wings with spicy sauce, which was bland, had to ask for chillis to give it a kick. Loaded potatoe skins with bacon, cheese and chives were ok, nothing special. Mains were House Special Burger and fries. Burgers were lukewarm and completely tasteless, seemed liked plain mince just moulded into a burger shape. The so called fried onions (as listed on menu) were raw. We asked waiter if we could have some and she said they didnât fry onions! Why say on the menu that fried onionsare included then! She said maybe the chef could fry some but we declined as the already lukewarm food would have been cold by the time onions were fried! The special burger sauce was so sparse we had to search for it! We decide not to bother with a dessert. As we left we noticed a 1 star rating on food hygiene rating certificate! Just waiting for stomach upsets now from dodgy burgers! First and last visit here!

We really visited without booking one Saturday lunch time . We all really enjoyed the meal we chose and there was something for everyoneâs dietary requirements! They catered well for children. We did have a voucher so we felt it was exceptional for what we paid and will return.

At zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don't do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We're all about well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional italian food.
We are outside on the hottest weekend this year, tables were nicely spaced only down flaw was that we had to get Hogan order indoors as they weren't serving ourside(hottest weekend!) Which seemed strange. Food was lovely and the garlic cheese and caramelized onion bread was to die for.

I'm not a pizza lover normally BUT these are to die for.. fresh ingredients, freshly made, very tasty!! Great service, however, do take a little longer for this reason and also need set opening times as we never know when he's open Certainly beats any 'chain' pizza takeaway and at half the price too!!
