Sunday lunch time. Two of us. Worst California rolls ever. See pic. This is their chef interpretation of California rolls. Don't even sprinkled with sesame seeds or masago (capelin roe). Sushi are below average. In fact if you pop over to Waitrose you can have a better sushi and 1/3 of the prices. Ridiculously over price for this low quality of ingredients. No presentation of the sushi. Simply bad! No wonder they have to changed the restaurant name. It is now called "Domo Japanese" Domo or Maru just avoid. Very disappointed! After a brief discussion they finally willing to take the California roll off the bill! Chef come out and sent us off the premises. No wonder the restaurant is empty. Sushi are simply not good enough.

Good fresh sushi from skilled chef. Good variety of dishes, improved greatly from last visit two years ago. Staff friendly and helpful. Not cheap but great value, will visit again next time in Kingston!Thank you for your review, our menu is now much larger (130 items) and is mostly small tapas style dishes designed for sharing. We hope you'll find new favourites on your next visit :)

My Portuguese foodie friend has been going on about this place for two years before I found an excuse to visit. It was everything that he and everyone else reviewing it says. Fresh, vibrant, interesting... everything was delicious and reasonably priced. Reservations are usually required.

Visited with family on Saturday night. The restaurant wont win any beauty contests but everything clean and tidy and the staff very pleasant. Between the 4 of us we tasted several items off the menu and everything was absolutely first class, particular mention for the bento boxes. Will definitely visit again
