When you run a seafront cafe, its hard to pull off something that's refreshingly different, imaginative and good. Salty Seahorse pull this off with extra style with a varied, imaginative menu. The food arrives beautifully done (we had the Cod Goujons with chips - cooked perfectly!). Highly recommend!

Fish and Chip shop and restaurant
Clean place and OK service but fish & chips too greasy for me. Chips were soggy and some potatoes black, maybe reheated.

Eaten fish and chips as a take away here on many occasions.Always found the staff very polite and friendly Fish and chips cooked fresh while you wait
I had the best burger of my life at this van, it was truly out of this world. The burgers themselves were cooked to perfection, the cheese was grated cheddar fried on the griddle, the salad was all freshly chopped. My girlfriend had a cheese, onion, mushroom and salad baguette with freshly chopped coriander which she also said was fantastic. The two boys had bacon and cheese baguettes, also very good. The young lady serving was extremely cheerful and very accommodating. You really have to try this van to believe how good it is. It's on the way to the ferry and will keep you filled up on your journey, whether across the Channel or heading home.
This place produces the best and cripiest chips I have ever had.The only reason I havent given them 5 star is because they make the odd mistake when fulfilling the order. We have a tray of kebab tray of meat and it is very good.

A hub of interesting folk, humerous conversation , the smoothest coffee and a great menu all at affordable prices. This is why we would only visit Sub Station whilst on holiday in Seaford. We love this family run cafe and so does our dog... He doesn't get left out! The owners here make you feel so welcome whether on your own or with family and friends and with their flexible laid back approach to life there is always time for another coffee with them. Don't walk past, pop in and support them and keep the sub station alive. Thank you Daryl and 'mother' we will see you again in September :) you don't get doggie ice-cream in Kent! Booooo
