Amano comes from the Italian phrase âby handâ and refers to the way in which we approach each and every dish. With artisanal produce sourced freshly from Italy, our menus feature classic Italian specialities including antipasti, gelato, and pizzas made wi
We have eaten here twice. The first time was January 2019 and it was awful. Friends booked a table for last night. Again it was truly awful. The restaurant is incredibly noisy. We were a table of four and it was impossible to hold a conversation. The service was dreadful. We were rushed to place our order immediately on arrival. The waiter managed to throw a starter at one of our party, he then scrabbled under the table in an attempt to retrieve a battered squid. During the embarrassing process he managed to dislodge our table spilling the drinks. The food was distinctly poor. My husband left more than half of his main course. The waitress ignored this, did not ask if he had not enjoyed it. We were hustled out just over an hour after arriving. £75 per couple lighter. There were lots of people waiting for tables. I canât think for the life of me why! Perhaps the location in West Malling appeals? The poor food, shocking service, dreadful noise, rushed meal and high cost are all reasons to avoid this horrible restaurant. Twice bitten, twice shy. We definitely will not return. I feel like we have been mugged!!Dear Obsessedwithgolf, We are sorry you have been disappointed following your visits to Amano. We visited for the first time, after finding the restaurant, walking around Maidstone previously. A really nice restaurant, with a good selection of starters, and mains. We decided on rice balls, and mussels for starters.Husband had the salmon, and i had the lamb shank for our main courses. There is a lovely wine list as well.Service was good and friendly. Would have loved to have stopped for pudding, liqueor coffee and a grappa for the other half, but it got too busy.

Luckily for us the van parks at the end of our road on a Monday night. We tried the Hawaiian and was far from disappointed. Cooked super quickly, a great size, good value and most importantly a delicious pizza. Iâm hungry thinking about it now. If you havenât tried them, do!

Walking into Prezzo there is still a sense of historic significance. Prezzo May have added a glitzy artistic facade, but building retains some of its former character. It is dark in parts and teeming with light in other areas of this capacious restaurant.Dishes are exciting and great for all the family. Quality is, what youâd expect from a chain Italian restaurant, good. Service was inattentive at times, Iâm sure It was a blip in their usual regime. Good prices and great deals, be sure to sign up on their website to access these.
