Things to do in Chudleigh

Having enjoyed food from Mei Wah over several years we looked forward to Chinese food of a high standard. What a disappointment. The service was efficient and friendly but sadly the food, with the exception of the pancake rolls, was some of the worst takeaway food we have ever had.The "crispy" duck was anything but crispy as it floated in a watery liquid with little flavour. The spare ribs were tough and chewy and the bbq sauce was "different"!The lemon sauce coating the chicken certainly tasted of lemon but the chicken, like the ribs, was tough and had little flavour. Poor quality ingredients contributed to an unpleasant experience.
High expectations as the Rominos in Minehead is outstanding. The food here was okay, but the prices seemed to be made up on the spot and the price suddenly went from £20 to £30. Probably best to avoid unless desperate.

Award winning freshly cooked fish & chips to eat-in or takeaway. Daily special (large fish of the day), OAP special (small fish of the day) and kids meals available. Fish can be purchased direct from our fishmonger shop at the front and fried to order if
Today we revisited Jacksons for lunch. Once again we were welcomed by a smiley member of staff and quickly seated. After deciding to have the OAP special ( COD, chips and tartare sauce, pot of tea and glass of orange, all for £5.95 each) we were served our drinks very quickly by another smiley member of staff. Our fish and chips came on lovely hot plates and looked delicious. And boy was it scrumptious. Thankyou once again Jacksons for a splendid fish and chip lunch at a very pleasing price. We will come back soon.

Traditional fish and chip shop take away and eat in cafe. Open all day every day during school holidays. We look forward to your visit to the Jolly Good Fish Cafe in Teignmouth.
Me and a couple friends ventured deep into the Teignmouth backstreets after a wonderful day in the sea. We were all absolutely ravenous and fancied some classic seaside fish and chips, which is how we stumbled across this establishment. We went in and the gentleman behind the counter was incredibly welcoming. He asked us how our day was and made us feel welcome. The waitress in the restaurant, Mia I believe her name is, was incredibly kind and warm and was excellent at serving us. She was very easy to talk to and very efficient at her job, it made our experience 10x better! As for the food itself, it was incredibly high quality for the price. My local chip shop is far lower in quality yet still higher in price. If you want great value for money, the Jolly Good Fish Cafe is the place for you. I had the calamari which was utterly Divine, and I couldnât get enough of the chips and curry sauce. All in all it was very high quality, I was blown away!Iâm yet to find a better fish and chip shop establishment in Teignmouth, I will definitely be going back for more Calamari!Hi, your detailed review is really appeciated and I will ensure Mia receives your great feedback...she is very professional and is a joy to employ. Hopefully see you again soon from Nik and the team.

Traditional Fish & Chip restaurant and takeaway, situated just off the seafront on the beautiful seaside town of Teignmouth. On Mondays we do gluten free days.
Visiting family in Teignmouth weâd seen this place earlier and that it was open until 9:30 on Fridays and planned our evening meal for four here. Walked in to the restaurant at 8:15, there were no customers in there. As we approached one of the two waitresses looked at her watche and said something to the other. On opening the door she said to us âweâre closing now, no more ordersâ. and that was the end of that. Thankfully we found a lovely seafood restaurant around the corner which welcomed us and made the best Fish & Chips weâve had in years. I guess it worked out for us in the end, just not with the frosty reception at Finn McCools.
