My husband and I go to the Bay of Bengal regularly, often just for a few drinks. This invariably leads to us ordering our favourite starter - lamb kebab behar, which is extremely tasty.Last night's visit was particularly enjoyable as it coincided with us watching the last over of the World Cup Cricket final with the friendly staff. Our bangladeshi hosts and friends, Abdul and Iqbal, were as delighted as we were with the England victory. We eat here regularly and I often also eat here with a group of my netball friends. We all love the food at the Bay of Bengal with it's fresh and diverse flavours. The staff are always very helpful and friendly and the atmosphere very relaxed.If you haven't yet had the pleasure of dining at the Bay of Bengal, we highly recommend that you pay a visit soon. You will not be disappointed! Keep up the good work guys!

First time eating here and I was not disappointed. Service good, everyone really friendly and helpful. Amazing menu to choose from and I really enjoyed the starter and main I had. A nice touch with a free drink at end of meal, although I turned this down as I don't drink spirits. Will definitely go back and eat here again.Dear eph9,Thank you for your feedback. I donât often write reviews, but this restaurant and its staff deserve this and more! It is rare that you feel like royalty because of the way you are welcomed, waited on and served. From the moment you approach you are greeted at the door by a member of staff, welcomed inside to a beautiful restaurant and wall water feature, and the waiters pull your chair for you and tuck you in, and lay a napkin on you. You donât get this sort of service often. The menu is really varied, with plenty to choose from, and they take special care of any dietary requirements with great focus made to ensure you are served food in line with your requirements. They are very reassuring and clearly listen and remember requests. The food is of a beautiful standard, in both appearance and taste. It was my partners birthday, and when they brought out her cake which I brought with us they not only sang happy birthday but had put complimentary Ferrero Rocheâs around it! A lovely and generous touch. After cake and requesting the bill they brought us chocolates with the bill, a complimentary spirit each, and we were made to feel very welcome and cared for throughout the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful, very well designed and the loos even have aftershave and mouthwash to freshen up with! I couldnât recommend enough. We were there almost 3 hours for just over £20 each. A memorable and wonderful experience.

Been here a couple of times. Service has always been friendly and swift. Food very good, nothing to complain about at all.I canât say they do anything to differentiate themselves from any other Indian restaurant, but Iâm pretty sure you will get a meal that will not disappoint.They also do a takeaway service, but judging by the wait it seems like they only prepare it when you arrive to collect it!
