Things to do in Woodstock
From the outside this Fish and Chip shop presents a somewhat indifferent impression, especially against it's much posher neighbours on the high street in Woodstock. But don't be fooled. Great fish and chips and when the portion size says large it is....freshly cooked - take a few minutes but well worth the wait actually. We stumbled on this place recently when the restaurant we booked was closed (Power cut) and they did not tell us in advance -so we were somewhat stuck to find a place to eat and decided to opt for a cheap takeaway instead of second best upmarket... and were not disappointed.

Sorry to say that having picked up fish and chips last night the fish was not great.Batter really really thick and had to remove it. Luckily the fish itself was okay, but when you're looking forward to battered fish, plain fish not quite what you're wanting.Chips were okay and really big portion.

My husband & I have been coming here weekly for two months in an effort to try everything--the food is that good. Thus far the pies, fish, sausage (incredible), burgers (huge!), & pizza have been excellent. The tartar sauce is outstanding & chip portions are a meal on their own.
Everything about our fish and chips today was yummy. The fish was freshly cooked in a nice light batter and not too greasy, and the chips were tasty. The staff were really friendly, helpful and the shop appeared to be clean and organised.Definitely the best fish and chips in Kidlington!
