Informal style restaurant & bar with an a la carte menu changed twice weekly, together with a selection of grazing boards which are ideal for sharing and for larger groups. Wherever possible local fresh ingredients are used and we buy all our meat from lo
Just a massive thank you for an amazing dining experience all around. The food was fantastic. Christine did an amazing solo job in Neil's absence. My only criticism is the food was that good we ate far to much!. Cracking service from the bar staff. Sarah you are an absolute beaut inside and out wherever you work you're ethics and professionalism cannot be topped so dont ever change! thank you for a fantastic night.Liam and soph

Habib and David purchased The French Pantry in April 2018 - it looks quite different to how it did! The majority of work was undertaken personally - we reopened, May 3rd 2018. Our aim is to provide different combinations and styles of food, with fun twist
We met up with some relatives over from Australia that were visiting Ludlow, it was a Monday evening and a lot of restaurants were closed. By accident we found The French Pantry, which was very busy, but they made space for us and could also cater for a gluten intolerant diner. Itâs a small but friendly place, almost like someoneâs dining room. The wine list was good and they have plenty of Gins to choose from. The menu is a set price, which we prefer, with enough choice to suit most people incl vegetarians. We found Habib friendly without being intrusive, we love small independent restaurants like this and will most certainly be back.Thank-you for such a wonderful and glowing review of The French Pantry, following your visit on Monday evening.I'm really pleased that we were able to accommodate you on Monday evening - and that you found the atmosphere, food and wine all of satisfactory quality and enjoyable. It's also great to see that my service was friendly without being intrusive! We certainly look forward to welcoming you again in the future!

The Coach House Norbury is a modern country inn nestled deep in the South Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Local chef Harry Bullock creates beautifully presented, flavourful interpretations of British classics with particular emphasis
This restaurant stands out from the crowd in rural Shropshire, where many of the eateries serve enormous portions of burgers, chips and pies. Here all the dishes we ordered were refined - more like nouvelle cuisine - with small but very tasty portion sizes. The restaurant is off the beaten track though easy to find, and it seems like it used to be a pub in the old days, with one area converted to comfy leather sofas where you can sip your G&T and study the menu, and the rest set out with spacious tables. The menu is limited to a few options per course, but changed every month, which I think is an excellent alternative to the usual extensive menus where you know not everything could possibly be fresh. I had asparagus as a starter - could have eaten more but it was good - while my husband had crab. I then had a superb fillet steak where he had lamb. We shared a dessert. With a couple of beers and 3 glasses of wine, the bill came to just over £100. Fine dining doesn't come cheap but if we were local we would come back now and again.Dear JoanK, Thank you for your very positive review. We're glad you enjoyed our food, menus and our restaurant. It did indeed used to be an old village pub which had been closed for a while when we bought it. As you've rightly pointed out there are plenty of places competing for the largest portions at the cheapest prices so we wanted to do something a little different. We wanted to celebrate the best of the incredible seasonal produce that surrounds us and serve it in an unpretentious atmosphere by passionate people. We hope we are achieving that and we are delighted to hear that you would return now and again if you were local. Many thanks, Sean & the Coach House Team
