The Samuel Fox Country Inn, Bradwell in the Hope Valley is conveniently located at the heart of the glorious Peak District National Park. It has four beautifully appointed letting rooms and since October 2012 has been in the hands of chef patron James Duc
Comfortable room, very comfortable bed. Evening meal was pretty much as good as it gets even when compared to the best London dining establishments and service was a nice mix of professionalism and personal engagement. The locals that live nearby are exceptionally lucky to this place in their area.

We were staying at The Hunters Inn with our camper van so hopeful that the pub on our doorstep would be worth a visit. We were not dissapointed. Our reservation for two was changed to four by the very friendly waitress and despite saying there might be a little wait with our orders we were served pretty quickly. My mushroom risotto was excellent and the oher diners were really happy with their choices of salmon & traditional fish & chips. The portions are very large so you might not need a starter. And be careful when ordering the garlic bread- it is half of a giant tiger loaf, enough for about eight people!

My husband & I visited here hoping for a lovely Sunday lunch, we was very disappointed,, it is more like a cafe than a restaurant,,, there was no love what so ever went into the food we had,,, everything was greasy,, the mash potatoes was full of lumps & to be honest no taste what's so ever,,,,we will not be returning.Hello Brenda We are sorry to hear you did not enjoy your meal but we are a little confused as we not sure this review is for The Bulls Head in CastletonFirstly we do not have a restaurant and the cafe description were are not as you can see from our pictures on our web pages. As for the grease we don't understand where that could be from as there is nothing on our Sunday lunches that contains grease apart from the dripping roast potatoes which are drained after cooking and finally we serve only roast and new potatoes but never mash so you can understand our confusion on your reviewIf you could please review your comments

We went with friends one Saturday evening. I had the beef and stilton pie which was absolutely delicious and huge! So huge I couldn't managed a pudding, which was a shame because they all sounded and looked fabulous. My husband had the millionaire's fish pie which was equally good and managed to put away a pud too. Would recommend booking as it was very busy but the service was good and the staff very friendly.
