I booked this only from reference of reviews and pictures online. We travelled over 80 miles, for a surprise meal for my boyfriends 21st birthday. On arrival, we was greeted by lovely friendly staff and seated straight away. The food was amazing, we both had the steak meal on the menu â2 courses for £22â. The steak was cooked to perfection. We both also had desert, myself with the lemon tart and my boyfriend with the chocolate sauce and ice cream waffle. Both again, could not be faulted. To top the night of completely, I had previously messaged them mentioning that it was a surprise meal for my boyfriends 21st, and this did not go unnoticed. They brought out a plate with happy birthday written on, with some chocolates on the side, which I thought was a lovely gesture. I could not fault this place at all, every staff member was lovely and the food was 11/10. Will be returning if we are ever down this way again, Thank you

Visited here June for a birthday and it wasnât brilliant however visited with friends tonight and was completely different... firstly great service ~ drinks at bar, food order etc... think we were served by Ben ~ great service, food tasted fantastic and served very promptly ~ can not fault this visit at all and will return soon~ great...Hi Brad,Thanks so much for letting us know how much you enjoyed your return visit - we will let Ben know that he looked after you really well - Thank you!We will look forward to you all joining us again very soon..

We booked a Sunday lunch here after a visit to Mitton Manor and when we arrived at the pub a large Christening Party had also just arrived but the two young women serving took it all in their stride and had us seated and served with drinks in good time. We ordered the set price 3 course meal and we both had lamb which was excellent, the starter and dessert was excellent too. This is a lovely pub, nicely decorated and the service was very professional and friendly. Haven't been in here for years and was not impressed then. How it's changed. The place had been completely refurbished, lots of activity from customers and staff.
