4 of us went to Penny Lane for birthday celebrations. We booked in advance and were given a comfortable booth once we arrived. Our server Sam was lovely - welcoming, helpful, polite & fun; a lovely lad! Our food was delicious - our party had cheeseburgers, a chicken burger and the fried chicken & waffles. We all enjoyed our food. Had 2 round of drinks (cider, beer, wine) and then we ordered the Hook a Duck cocktail. £111 for the 4 of us. Service was at times a little slow (no reflection on Sam, he was running around the place and chasing our orders up). When we'd finished we had a go on the games, which was fun. We enjoyed the donkey derby a lot but it was a bit packed and there's not a huge variety of games to be honest. Ladies were sparkling clean, which is always a plus! Overall we had a good, fun night and I would probably go again.Hi Lisa, Thanks for your review - Sam will be over the moon to see he helped make your night enjoyable! We do hope to see you again soon.

It started with two fellas, a chef & a team of creative students. Our dream was simple, to open a new pop up concept, serving proper pizzas and all things sweet. Our journey began with a backpack, a camera and a notepad. After 17 weeks, 5700 miles and 6 s
Out with my family and wanted to eat lunch somewhere which was new to us. Came across 'Happy Dough Lucky' down one of the smaller roads between Broadway and the Arena. It is in the Lacemarket building and so I was slightly unsure on the set up at first, but turns out it was a 'pop-up' restaurant which has kept going due to its popularity. It was a Saturday mid-day and it was quiet as they had just opened for lunchtime. Friendly welcome and good service. Nice to go somewhere with their own selection of pizzas and drinks, and appreciated the pizzas being explained and level of 'spiciness'. Waited for the pizza to be made from scratch. They tasted good and had good drinks. Certainly would go again if in that area. Can imagine it'll be busy in the evening. One to watch.

i went on a date to this resturant, and the girl i was one a date with was vegetarian, so we ordered the veggie platter to start and they brought us the meat platter, we wasnt aware until the girl i was with had already eaten the chicken and i had eaten prok which i do not eat! when i told the staff they tried to blame me and said that i had order the wrong thing! then they question why i had order a vegtatrian platter to start when my main course had chicken in it! I will order what i want, i was overall really disappointed with this and the staff were not friendly at all after i complained about them bringing the wrong food to us and they still charged us for it!Hi gantXG,Thank you for the feedback.
